watched Jojo up to ep.2

man, nothing beats old school shounen at its best, direction and animation is super excellent and have shown tremendous lot of improvements compare to the last season, especially those camera angles ^^,

will check Haikyuu next

well i just actually recently finished rereading Nausicaa and its such a delight reading it in hardcover volumes

here are the sample images in case you haven't seen it yet
its 10.6 x 7.5 x 3.5 inches
very big and quite heavy really, but it is of perfect size to appreciate Hayao Miyazaki's art and detail, its a one of a kind manga with its art alone, and a perfect masterpiece along with his first and greatest heroines: Princess Nausicaa and Princess Kushana, a Tolkien-esque scale of a world and culture, a wide range of great characters, and an epic story which explored themes only Miyazaki could and would do
(now that's something we both know and affirmed already >.<)

well as far as this season is concerned, my masterpiece i guess would be Mushishi Zoku Shou, its of perfect note as with S1, really its a different experience watching each new episode of it
2. Ping Pong, its Yuasa Masaaki, nothing could go wrong, and animation and characters are golden already
3. Hitsugi no Chaika, ep.2 sold it to me, it delivered what made me love Scrapped Princess so much, those characters :)

as for others, Captain Earth (it has this different feel I can't explain that continue to entice me), Soul Eater Not!, Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii (this one I crave and I like), Knights of Sidonia, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (I for one don't see what the hype is about aside from the incest-tous relationship of the siblings XD), Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin, Isshuukan Friends

still haven't watched Jojo, well a lot of those are 1-cour series so i guess it wasn't that much of a load and i can find time to watch them after work ^^,

and i just received my Nausicaa Manga Deluxe Box Set, a worth it collection

its a step down compare to Tengen Toppa but imo they did a very great job with it nonetheless especially with the character interactions, still one of the best series for this year

and finished watching Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin

the greatest finale that could happen for one of the most memorable movie series ever
those character interactions, development, Ryougi Mana and SHIKI at the end ^^,
and that Kalafina movie song
Kara no Kyoukai - The Garden of Sinners will surely be missed.....

AmberFebruary | 03-23-14, 3:07 AM
and Shinichiro Watanabe-sensei's and Yoko Kanno-sama's new anime is also something to look forward to :D

its kinda sad Kill la Kill is ending next week

goosebumps all over for ep.22 and 23,those character developments, those script and dialogue, they're very special and i liked what the series focused on in this late part of the series

and i can't help but rewatch the parallel transformation of the sisters, great vibes all over

btw, Psycho Pass S2 and Log Horizon S2 on October, Fall can't ever be amazing along with Fate Stay Night \m/

finished reading The Music of Marie. one those short rare gems with a unique-culture rich world, a masterpiece story and a moving message.

AmberFebruary | 02-27-14, 6:37 AM
and only by watching Noragami's 1st OVA (which is one of the greatest OVA ever btw) did i notice the OP sequence changes which is prevalent in episode 8 compare to the first 7 eps. Clever BONES ^^

AmberFebruary | 02-26-14, 2:10 AM
btw, how's Build Fighters now? i stalled watching it since ep.7 >.<

AmberFebruary | 02-25-14, 3:46 AM
and Noragami continues to deliver very well-directed and very well-executed episodes with consistent high quality animation from BONES

AmberFebruary | 02-17-14, 3:21 AM
in all honesty i like LOGH's animation and art even if it looks outdated with today's standards, it still feel authentic, well i haven't got the time to marathon it yet, watched a 2 of the first episodes
my main problem with the LOGH anime adaptation now is it being tied down by today's anime tropes, you can't brush of that Space Battleship Yamato 2199 certainly have, with unnecessary shots of short fanservices yet still feel very out of place, and the routine of today's anime of selling out their female characters, hope this classic have the staff that would work with respect for it

and yeah, i saw that, my main problem i guess would be A-1, and Aoki himself i guess for adding material in the Fate/zero anime that is incomparable in magnitude with the contents that is supposed to be included in the adaptation, Fate/zero anime is amazing, but as i research the material that we're removed, its kinda sad it could have been superbly amazing

btw, i recently finished Kemono no Souja Erin, i love this one, its themes share some sentiments found in Miyazaki's works and i kinda see some resemblance between some of Erin's personality with Nausicaa :D
i kinda hope we get more of this kind of series since its such a unique watch, and i'm hoping to experience the same with Goro's TV anime series this fall

AmberFebruary | 02-07-14, 8:18 AM
there's no other experience like watching Silver Spoon
that S2 ep. 5 ^^,

and Kill la Kill is turning more awesome now with each passing ep, that Tengen Toppa-ish route :D

AmberFebruary | 02-06-14, 9:28 AM
and i finally was able to watch The Tale of the White Serpent (1958), the first color anime feature film :D

and its good :)
