As part of our continued improvement to the new anime and manga list designs, we are happy to announce that you can now use custom CSS on your modern lists!

You can check it out here!

A few notes on usage:
  • Click the theme images to preview a theme, upload new background/cover images, and modify the CSS.
  • Custom code will overwrite the existing theme design, so you can easily see which styles you've modified.
  • You can extend the left bar by clicking and dragging it (for a larger CSS box).
  • To view how the theme will look on your manga list: while previewing your anime list, use the list menu to navigate to your manga list, and click preview.
  • The custom CSS box is also color-coded for easier use and includes a selector tool!

With this update, our modern lists are now functioning similar to the legacy lists. But we don’t want to stop there! We still have many other features planned for your anime and manga lists, so please look forward to them in the future.

We value your feedback and appreciate any input or comments on these latest changes.

Big thanks to the devs for this update. While I was testing it, I kept thinking, "This is so cool..." They really went above and beyond my expectations.

Huh this would be cool, but I'm too attached to my own current list design :v

Behold of my awesomeness~

I've been using the old list style but I just switched to the new one to try it out again.

Either I'm blind or there is no way to get to forums from the list page?

Could you add an option to disable the original CSS? The way it is now, we have to reset tons of codes to change the styling. The old layout let us start from scratch, with very little set CSS; the same option would be appreciated here.

Try importing a CSS reset.

Just tried a few, and they hardly made a difference. Seems that they're either being overridden by the internal stylesheet (which are placed after the custom one) or just don't have specific enough resets.

Great addition for people who know how to code, waiting for easier options to change link colors and text colors, similar to the old list editing style.

Having an issue with styling the 'airing' etc.

It's loaded with: <span class="content-status"> </span>

But that appears even when it's blank. So any styling adjustments I do are still showing up when not needed.

Example:

How could I fix this?

@Xinil

Also series links seem to be going all the way over to 'Airing' instead of closing and then the space. Needs to be '</a>space_airing' not 'space</a>_airing'. If you don't understand what I mean try hovering one of the series titles that is still airing on my list.

EDIT: Actually, removing underline for hyperlinks seems to have corrected everything.

You both know that's simply not happening. Once Xinil gets instruction from his Jap overlords to implement a change, it's game over for all of us, nothing survives.

Alright finally got it tweaked how I wanted. =)

I've made my list a bit responsive as well rather than fixed. If only I could solve the issue of smaller screens going under the user menu rather than stopping at the right like I'd prefer, but I couldn't figure out the right CSS to do so.

Now to add a cover photo and a few stylistic changes later.

Am I dumb, or is there no way to edit the background colour for the headings? I'm talking about this:

I can't get the grey to change.

Also, the tags/image headings aren't the same colour as the rest since they're not links, but I can't change them to a different colour than the rest of the non-link text.

The vertical bars are an image.

.list-table .list-table-header .header-title {
background: #F6F6F6 url("/img/pc/ownlist/bar-table-header.png") no-repeat right 7px / 1px 22px;
}

As for the tags/image heading:
.list-table .list-table-header .header-title .link, .list-table .list-table-header .header-title.tags {
color: #323232;
}

I've removed the image from the CSS but it's still not working for me. I'd like the background to be black.

EDIT: Never mind, I changed the text to "background: none" and it worked.

This is excellent news! Probably one of the main reasons people wouldn't end up switching over to the modern style is due to the lack of custom CSS. Without that hindrance, I'm sure we can expect a lot more people migrating.

From the sounds of the other responses, people are having difficulty customising some of the features, for their various reasons. I've not peaked for myself, but if those are legitimate issues then once those are out of the way - namely mass resetting the default CSS - it will hopefully be easier for people to move their lists over to the new design.

Assuming ya'll are referring to the look ('though Shishio perhaps means the classic CSS editing?) of the old style, it'd be nice if they could make a modern list style that's modelled after it, but still coded the same way. That way they don't have to keep supporting an older formatted version side-by-side.

I don't know where to reply with this comment, but, I'll do it here anyway.
So, could you please fix your fixed position div element and either fire it once it gets to the "Edit Status" or fire it once it reaches the the top border of the image? It really is kind of annoying seeing it fire randomly at the social apps links or at the "Add to favorites" or at "Edit Anime Information".
This shouldn't be much hard to fix.
