No, because inbreeding means degeneration.

Nah. I think you should be legally able to have protected sex with them, but that's it. All marriage would do is encourage these people to have offspring.

I've heard that sex with a cousin could actually be a good thing(for the baby's genes) if done sparingly so I'm ok for that. But not brothers and sisters, that's too close.

I'm two-sided about this.

If the love between them are real, I don't mind the marriage as long they don't have children. Otherwise, no.

Would you want to be the kid whose parents are related? Inbreeding is incredibly selfish, both on a genetic, and a social level.

Marriage isn't really the focal point for incestuous couples, but I would support it nonetheless.

For the social level you can argue that about tons of other things, gay couples, large age difference couples, etc. And I believe there were some benefits on a genetic level for cousins. And a man or woman having a baby over the age of 40, increases the risks of birth defects too but that's not illegal. I'll leave these here, which talk about the genetic and social things that are often brought up, though I'm not planning on arguing about this so read it if you so please.

You're Muslim, so of course you'd defend something that's a bit of a tradition in many Muslim countries, whether it's good or bad.

The Catholic church outlawed cousin fucking, which is why inbreeding is less common here. Finding a mate is a bit harder, but at least we're not walking on all fours.

The two things you mentioned aren't nearly as bad as cousins breeding, at least in countries where it's not very accepted to begin with.

If I didn't know that your DNA ladder is like a chocolate vanilla swirl, then I'd ask whether or not your parents are cousins.

Depends case by case but honestly perhaps its just that I don't give a fuck but people can do whatever the hell they want I suppose, only got one life how you get through it or how fucked up it gets is up to you. In the end you end up in a hole anyway. Suppose it depends just how much people care about sticking their noses in other peoples lives.

Only one problem: Oftentimes people have a "bimbo" that's a cousin. The fact its a cousin makes it even sweeter

You sound extremely bigoted in your above posts;

((Chance of genetic defects from cousins is drastically less than brother/sister, however it's still a slightly increased chance, unfortunately I'm at work and just about everything is blocked so I can't grab sources, but google should be able to help everyone out))

Whether it should be right or wrong? No real opinion, sorry x.x;

You can't just write STUFF, as that makes me confused as to what STUFF you're actually responding to.

Cousins breeding over one generation is usually no big deal, but the problem arises when you let it go on for several generations.

What? Homosexual couples aren't nearly as bad as marriage between cousins? So they're kind of bad? I don't know if that's what you meant or you just didn't read what you were quoting and how you worded the response . . . but that sounds like a small stab at homosexual couples

((Sorry, quoting posts doesn't work at work and is a pain in the ass to type up myself))

If it were a brother or sister no, never. A cousin okay. It'd be better if it were a distant a cousin, but it's better than a brother or sister.

It's not like there's the same risk that comes with impregnation of a sibling.

What was the problem of it again?

Cleopatra did have intimate relationships with her.. brother. For political reasons *cough*.

Tons of other kings and queens did the same.

Emperors and so on.

With, brothers, sisters, cousins, distant cousins, uncles, aunts.. parents :/

Sickly twisted history. I'm glad it's the 21st century.
