| My first reaction after watching this episode. "What? Nagisa... had sex? The pure loveable maiden Nagisa had sex...?" My second reaction after watching this episode. "Oh my gosh, that was so cute and lovey-dovey." I actually like the lack of visual body contact between Nagisa and Tomoya. This anime focuses more on the emotional aspect between those characters, and less on lust. Of course things must've happened, but if they had shown it, that would make them, for me, a less perfect couple. Also, Akio > Sunohara. |

Looking at her character from the first few episodes of Clannad, it's rather hard to imagine that EVER happenening and yet it was entirely believable. |

| Loved this episode lol So many funny and sweet moments here. Liked the fact that Tomoya and Nagisa are able to continue to live a family life together with only the thought of each other to go on, and also the fact that they really care for each other to the point that Tomoya treasures every memory of their past (Gets irritated once he finds out the old school building is being torn down. Though I'm really intrigued to see what was at the restaurant site before the actual restaurant was created, cuz it seemed to freeze Tomoya in place). Sweet how Nagisa's only wish was to have a baby, lol at it's akwardness when she said it to Tomoya after he said "If you wish it, I'll try my best to get it for you!". Funny how Akio wanted to go to where Nagisa works just to collect a bunch of photos and with his "disguise" as a rapper made me laugh like crazy (lol at the moment when Nagisa didn't know who he was). Nice when Akio and Tomoya scared off the guys and great how the restaurant's boss really values Nagisa as an employee. The part that really surprised me was the ending... wow Nagisa is pregnant, not only that but she even said right in front of her parents that they were doing it, lol. Geez I should really see the next episodes just to fill in my feeling of sudden addicition lol (Yeah I'm kinda behind in episode, due to the fact that there a lot going on now..) |

| Ugh finally watched this episode. I don't like stuff happening off-screen too much and having the viewer imagine the romantic developments because it doesn't feel like you are as much a part of this clannad world then. It's more like you are a stranger getting the summary version of what happened rather than someone who is immersed in the anime and watching things unfold firsthand if that makes any sense. In other words, you can't really get inside their heads and feel what the characters are feeling when you aren't seeing it in front of you. In the end you're just a bystander passing by and overhearing she's pregnant. |

| I don't get how everyone complains about the fact you haven't seen them kiss. Who cares.. like others have said they obviously have off screen. Frankly, this is without a doubt one of the best romance anime I have ever seen. And if I have to sacrifice a kiss for deep relationship and character development; then, frankly, I have no problem with that. |

| I don't find wierd the fact that they don't show the kisses. What I find wierd is that theyre not very close. c'mon, theyre married and they BARELY hold hands. Besides, they have sex after they marry??? ...and she gets pregnant on their first time?? are they from a orthodox religious family or something?? dude, do they even know what a condom is? don't get me wrong though. I still really like this anime. the characters are unique and very well developed. I wish I could see more the other characters though |

The answer to that is very obvious: from what I understand japan is somewhat different when it comes to relationships. And, I think the guys at KyoAni and Key were trying to portray a romantic relationship not a physical one. If they show every little thing that they do, then the times they actually show them holding hands and hugging and whatever; probably wouldn't have as much of an effect. Let's use the proposal as an example: It wouldn't have been as effective for the VIEWER during that particular scene when they embrace, if they did it all the time on screen. You need to take into account what they do offscreen As for sex? You can take that as you like it. But, I personally never thought it was the first time. |

| True, but I think the point was to bring the focus entirely on the new family and how it is built. From that perspective, I think Clannad has pulled it off really well. |
