The first anime fan I met was a girl and she was so loud and annoying, so it seems I have a bad impression of them. I guess they are not as annoying as someone randomly pestering you though haha.
I wish my eyes weren't so bad I can't tell if you have more manga volumes than me or not - I hardly collect DVDs, so I know you beat me there, but I can't tell which are your DVDs or manga.

I always enjoyed Steven Foster's dubs, not sure why he gets a bad rap, or all this hate. Sure his stuff may be a little off from the source material, but nothing more then a normal Funimation dub. Nothing wrong with that, although I would like it to be a little closer, being liberal from time to time is alright. I have no idea what happened with Voices of a Distant Star, never heard the dub, or anything so. But with Le Chevalier D'Eon, Red Garden, Pani Poni Dash and the original dub for this, I found nothing wrong with his style. Maybe the Japanese think all his dubs are like Milk-chan and Ghost Stories which DON'T follow the scripts at all, Ghost Stories is acually making fun of it's self. I heard the dub on Colorful was very different from the original as well.
I'm planning on double dipping on this movie, if they release another DVD with the second dub on it. I still find it funny I was just watching this on my DVD, took a brake and saw your post about this movie, so then started to watch it again with a new dub lol!
Also I just saw your DVD collection! Damn you put me to shame! Nice! I wish i had that much! Nice collection you got there.

Hey I was just re-watching 5 Centimeters Per Second on my DVD when I read your post in the club. So I decided to check out. I'm only though one part of it, but I enjoyed ADV's dub much better. This dub isn't bad, but I liked Hilary Haag better then Erika Weinstein, although she is good, and I'm tired of listeing to JYB, although he was very good in this as well. My biggest problem is the script though not the actors. There are some awkward phrases that ADV's dub didn't have, and the actors try their best to deal with them. I liked the way ADV treated it better then Bang Zoom & crunchyroll. Still it's a decent dub. ADV's was just a lot better. Guess that's why they're one of my favoite studios though.
