Nice alternative if subbing groups take took long with a episode, I will probably be watching Monogatari S2 RAW though.

They bring out big cannons for their first season. I wonder if they can handle subbing classic Shaft though. If they don't lag too far behind fansubs it might even work out.

Chances are that most of the announcements will start next week or maybe on the weekend where they announce many titles at once in a panel like last year. Whatever the case, I'm ready. I can't wait to see some of my favorite series for the summer.

Their Madoka subs are pretty awful, partially machine translated, and the quality is below Crunchyroll's 720p quality. They'll have to do some miraculous improvements by the time it airs...

It most likely means that. If they get it at all, it'll probably be delayed terribly.

If Aniplex USA gets it then CR should too, but delayed for a few days. Daisuki still sucks though nice idea, but the subs and quality shifts based on download speeds is terrible. Not to mention their pay model is bad too its not monthly/seasonal/yearly based sub like TAN, CR, Hulu, Neon Alley,Amazon video, etc... its pay per video and after it expires you have to buy the video again to watch. We don't even know how much they will offer per video or how long you have to watch it until it expires.

https://www.daisuki.net/faq_detail03/#anchor3-14

I'll just stick with CR and fansubs like I always have. Unless Daisuki offers entire series completely free of charge that is.

I wonder if the other Aniplex shows this season will all go to Daisuki as well...

Well, this isn't really too much of a surprise after what Aniplex of America has been doing. They seem to want to cut out the middleman completely and using Daisuki, which Aniplex is on the production committee for, seems to fit their MO.

Rofl can't believe we saffers are included in that list.
Just a question, 'simulcast' implying the site casts the raw the same time the tv version airs?

Luckily It´s at least a series that I can´t view on Crunchyroll anyway.

Through if Daisuki because "only natural speaking English regions isn´t blocked" then I will have one more Simulcast service to damn.

"Damn Funimation, Aniplex series and Daisuki!" since they take interesting series from me in Europe that I would be able just to turn my Playstation on to watch.

To be honest, based on this I would expect Daisuki will probably have the exact same region restrictions as CR would have on the series had it been their license. This excludes catalogue titles, which CR usually gets from American distributors, meaning they have to limit the release to NA only, which Daisuki wouldn't have to.

I won't be able to simulcast anything this season either, or probably next for that matter, given that I will likely have a very poor internet connection from July to November, totally insufficient for streaming (or, for that matter, downloading) anime. That is, when I have an internet connection at all.

Well, if Daisuki is the only one to get the Aniplex shows, looks like many anime watchers could also take the approach of cutting out Aniplex from their watching of shows and go with fansubs of Aniplex shows instead of Daisuki thus driving down the streaming numbers that they would have had if they just went with Crunchyroll.

To be honest, the numbers would be vastly lower because
a) a lot of people don't know about daisuki
b) far fewer people, even of those who do know about it would want to watch it on there, for whatever reason.

A handful of protestors, compared to that, really wouldn't mean anything.

Wasn't that Usagi Drop/anohana?
If they were then they forgot to fill the boxes as they're still empty... but I think they mean it when they say "NEW catalog titles" while those two would be old catalog titles, one just new for free members and one just put back as they had it before.
