Though we found out about a few interesting details, I feel like the overall plot really didn't progress that much and we've been stuck in the same place for the past few episodes: Touma trying to protect Index from Kaori and Styil. I agree with everything stated above :P This was the least interesting episode so far and Touma's speech was boring. Hell the whole episode was. I hope things get better. Right now it seems like they are trying to waste time. I know I shouldn't say that since I haven't read the manga, but that's how I feel. |

| This episode isn't what I had expected, there was hardly a fight scene, just Touma getting his ass beat then getting preached too. And then he would preach back, and it went back and forth for a while, him and Kanzaki preaching. I am looking forward to a more exciting episode next week. |
| Touma's logic needs some work, I think... If he is really her 'nakama', and based on their current information, why prevent Necessarius from saving her life... Knowing that he does some drastic things later, but based on the current situation, it seems like he is endangering Index the most by preventing a memory reset, and even then does a bad job by getting injured and dragging her down... *sigh* What a guy... |

| I think the episode is all right. It is a bit too talky for my tastes; too much info dumping and not enough solid action. The fight scenes are cool, even though there isn't quite as much fighting as I would have liked. |

| That's your opinion Imo this is the best anime airing now (well maybe except VK Guilty :P ) Ep was great, and Kaori.... just perfect :) Hope we'll see more of her in next episone :P Well Necessarius isn't as good as it seems at begining either, imo it couldn't be compared with Code Geass/Death Note, but could be few places after them |
| well, the opening will keep my interest in this anime until the end I think XDD. ep04 is really important to understand the story yeah but I think we're far from knowing everything. But also yes, stop speaking too much !>___< I'm really waiting for the moment where touma will find a real reason to fight because for now, he reminds me of Yuji from SnS.. and other heroes that just find a cute girl and don't know why they protect her. |

Get and audiobook, if you can't concentrate on a picture for more than ten minutes without hundreds of animations. -_- Kaori is beating him up like crazy. Even risking to cut his nerves. She has to be beaten up near death once too. No discount for ladies. ^^ And her reasoning? None at all. Just because she can't let her feelings out a different way. tze pretty weak person"ality", which could not live with her "handicapped" friend. |

| They need to explain people, better than keeping it a mystery till one episode left. The first half was good and the second half was nice, I like this show, not as much as Kannagi but still better than everything wlse this season. |

| It's nice that stuff is explained, but spending minutes and minutes of just talking is a little ridiculous. If stuff can be explained over time, then that's not so bad. Good action, though. |

| I was expecting something different, but it worked nonetheless. The story is starting to unfold. Sooo the bad guys aren't bad guys after all. Good, it makes the anime more realistic and not just good guys vs. bad guys. And I find it very cool that they have to erase her memory every year even though it hurts them to do that. Lol moment when she tried to give him rice x) |

| Worst episode so far. Touma degenerated from "has potential" to "just another hero". I am quite intrigued by the "Einstein used 20%" thing, though. Never heard that before. Why him? There's been plenty of more brilliant minds than him. Hypatia, Sidis, Gauss, Leibniz, Wittgenstein, Goethe and Leonardo for example. I'll give a ell-oh-ell for the "100% gives teleportation", though. Does this mean Einstein could walk through walls? I knew he was badass, but that's stretching it. And functionality and functions? What the...? What does that mean? Functionalism is pretty much dead if that's what you're after (I doubt it because it's highly irrelevant), CMT and connectivism are the flagships nowadays in cognitive science. Anyway, yes, only ten percent of the brain are neurons - correct, but glia cells are used too - only ten percent of our neurons fire at any given time - more and its a seizure - but apart from that, you are freaking wrong. | Oh my, this is geting lame ¬¬ That stupid scene with Touma and Kaoru.. Why can't he understand Kaoru? Yeah, yeah, pretty memories but Index will just forget... And for friend.. Being with that person knowing in a year you'll have to erase her memories so she can live... It's easier for both parts doing it like this... But Mr. Hero has to be the hero who'll find another cure... u.u' If next episode's as bad as this one I'll have to drop this.. ¬¬ |

| Probably the best episode for me. We heard the background story and left with an evil cliffhanger. Need more to fill my weekly Index dosage. ...and if those two are Index's collegues, how old exactly is Index? She's a loli just in looks, not in the mind? And I still don't understand how can someone read 103.000 grimoires. |

| Nice battle scene and Kaori looks like hot in the up knotted shirt of hers :D An interesting twist in the story, so it seems Kaori and Styil aren't the typical power hungry villains, though I'm not sure if I'd call them good friend either. Since they just "grew tired" of Index having her memories erased in order to survive and thought it better to emotionally detach themselves and just forcefully capture her instead. Though I'm starting to grow a bit bored of the typical useless male hero who always put himself in danger and will go to any lengths just to prove the "enemy" is wrong. |
| Wow, Kaori is damn hot. That belly and legs was just pure burning hot. I didn't expect those magicians to be "friends" with Index. Also, memory reset? Why don't they rest the grimoires instead of her own memories? Hmm. Plus in the ending, I wonder if those 2 magicians are still going to be an enemy. I was thinking that they probably only came just to visit. It's a possibility. Just to visit or take Index away. What to choose? What to choose? Also, Touma got beaten up so badly. His right hand isn't godly anymore. He needs a new power, lol. |

| Hmm. Interesting twist, and good episode, although the "fight" (quotation marks because... well, it wasn't really a fight - more like a beating) seemed a little drawn out. It was really good though. But... if you think about it... Even if Index can only use 15% of her brain, she should be able to hold on to more than just one year of memories... ._.'' I mean. If the rest of us supposedly use 100% of our brains and 15% is used up per year, wouldn't we all have to reset a little less than every 7 years? (~6.67 years)... Whatever. Best I try not to use weird logic anyway for a sci-fi/fantasy anime. XD Aw, Index protecting Touma at the end. :D (Or at least trying to?) |

Maybe it was the tranlations, but I doubt it. Either way, I didn't really buy the whole reason that they're erasing her memories, nor did I like the argument Kanzaki and Touma were having. Regardless, Touma's got to figure something out or make some hard decisions. Kinda effed up that that little girl needs brain maintenance just to live. I'm interested to see how this problem is resolved. |

| Leave it to a 24 ep series to have such a long explanation scene. You would never see such a scene in a 12 ep series! ^^ It all makes sense now though. The whole scene was really well done. But then theres the fact Index has Touma now; she's just going to give up rather than running away! =( |
