That stuff is on my basic info, but if you're really curious - I'm a 21 year old girl from the grand old UK.
Do you prefer anime or manga?
Usually manga, though anime is more accessible and faster to get through, which is why I have an extended anime list and tiny manga one.
Favourite anime/manga?
My favourite manga is 'Immortal Rain' - it's so utterly underrated and slow to be released :(. I don't know what my favourite anime is, I like them all for different reasons.
Favourite anime character?
I tend to like the 'lovable idiot' types the most á la Isaac and Miria, Nodame etc. I don't have a favourite XD.
Least favourite
Usually the characters I have the most issues with are Tsundere. I hated Taiga (Toradora!) and Shana (Shakugan no). Though, once again, I don't have a least favourite, just ones I don't like.
Do you consider yourself an otaku?
Nope. Well. It depends on your personal definition of otaku. The word has taken on so many different meanings that it's difficult to get the original context anymore *shrugs*. I personally go by the Japanese definition, which is very derogatory and implies a manic obsession.

What do you look for in an anime/manga? Some of your marks are quite harsh.
I don't look for anything specific, though I do enjoy character development and plot twists that make sense. When I'm marking, I take points off the final score for instances where I was disappointed with the plot, or the artwork or characters that never were developed as well as they could have been. I take other marks off if it is a terrible adaptation of something I am very familiar with.
What are your hobbies outside of anime?
I enjoy cooking, visiting the cinema (especially if it's an awesome film) and pub with friends.

Eh, you're no snob. I'm more of a snob when it comes to Anime types. Can't stand Meta-Series Anime that have over 100 episodes are 5 or 6 different seasons/series. They tend to repeat the same shit over and over a lot. "We've defeated the strongest villain....wait there's another!??!?!", kinda bullshit I can't stand really. Also, all that filler episodes gets to me too.
What you say about Ecchi Anime is very true though, it's meant for guys. I enjoy a few but there are some that I can't stand (My Wife is a High School Girl). The stories are typical and the characters are all cookie cutter versions of the next, but still I watch because I have nothing better else to do and I like those cute lovable Heroines.......man I reaaaallllly need to get a girl, lol.

Well, Japanese humor is kinda different from American humor. They basically make fun of what is/did occur in Japan at the time. The series makes lots of references to many other Anime so if you don't understand some jokes it probably because you didn't watch a certain Anime they were referencing.
It's quite a shame that you don't enjoy Comedy Anime that much, but what kind of Anime is your taste really? Mine is usually Romantic Comedies, Sci-Fi, Slice of Life, and Comedy in general...and some Ecchi.......correction a lot of Ecchi.
