SynopsisOtokojuku - a private school for juvenile delinquents that were previously expelled from normal schools. At this school, Japanese chivalry is taught through feudal and military fundamentals. Similar to an action film, the classes are overwhelmed by violence. Only those who survive it become true men.

Wow! few anime are this good and i've seen a fair amount! I tell you that Momotaro is the baddest of the badasses! I love the comedic sense of exaggeration and how obscenely overpowered the characters are(though I'm happy their hair doesn't turn yellow if you get what i mean). Everything here is so classic and outrageous and for the date of its release it is done superbly! Its a shame that there aren't fansubs for anything past episode 6, so i guess its raws from then on if you get into it enough. It shouldn't be too hard to follow and wiki lays it out for you if you need guidance. I give it a 10/10 especially considering its vintage. read more

Coming out four years after the start of Hokuto no Ken, Sakigake! Otokojuku is another classic old school shonen! Featuring similarly over muscular fighters it deviates from Hokuto by adding in a comedy aspect. With an awesome mix of masculinity, pride, strength and humor, Fans of old school Shonen will fall in love with this series. Though the series lacks the constant flow of kills that Hokuto no Ken had, you will be sure to find that it is just as badass.
Similarly if you Started off with Otokojuku, Hokuto no Ken is another action packed series that you should acquaint yourself with.
Well besides the main character looking like Kenshiro, the rest series seems to be a homage to North Star for various characters look like Raoh and others. The anime is pretty hardcore about boys becoming men in a private school(even though some of them look like in their 30's). The battles are all manly and freaking amazing but unfortunately the anime ran out of budget and had to skip 5 fights and ended way too early. Once you finish the anime READ the manga from CH 70 onwards and the epicness gets MEGA EPIC with 16Vs16 team tournament battles.
