Same kind of humor, about teenaged boys trying to figure out life.

Both are slice of life, very easygoing and heartwarming stories. I definitely felt that Kimi to Boku reminds me of Natsume Yuujinchou without any supernatural elements. Both also have very soft and sweet ED themes. There are cats in both series that play a definite role. The one major difference is KtB focuses on a group of friends, while Natsume Yuujinchou focuses on just a few characters.

The atmosphere in both are very, very similar. The shows live from their character interactions, how the main characters get closer to each other and create bonds. Also, both have a similar art style, very light and calming. While Isshuukan Friends is a little more dramatic, you'll definitely love one if you enjoyed the other.

They are both about daily school life of a group of boys. Both are comedy and slice-of-life.

While H.C is on a university setting, KTB is on High School but it has similar pace, similar friendships and even characters with similar personalities (the serious hardworking guy that wears glasses and is in love with a much older woman (Mayama/Kaname), the funny guy that always makes parodies (Morita/Chizuru), a girl from their age that is very small and used to be closed to others until she met them (Hagu/ Mary), a sensitive kind guy (Takemoto/ Shun), a girl that has an unrequited love for the serious guy (Yamada/Hisako). The difference is, instead of an older guy that is part of the group (Shuuji),  read more

a true slice of life with not so heavy romance. visual is also very similar

Remove Haruhi and Mori, remove the extreme rich school setting and make them all "commoners" and you´ll get Kimi to Boku. Just imagine Ouran without the boys being hosts but instead, Childhood friends, and with a more slow pacing. You´ll get a cheerful mixed blood blonde, a serious intelligent megane, funny twins, and a fluffy boy that likes cute things living their daily lives in extreme fun. Also, although both center in friendship, both have hints of a love triangle (a straight one) XP

Coming of age stories about overcoming social aloofness and awkwardness with a little help from friends and in this case, boys in high school. KtB has a charming romantic subplot while Tsuritama shows how hobbies can be encouraging and shared passions. There are also cheerful characters who push the story forward.

Both are anime about childhood friends in the same school. They have similar art too.
report Recommended by LMiki
The focus of both series is on slice-of-life and the daily lives of high school boys. They have similar humor and characters and the same "feel."
report Recommended by renchan
Both will give you laughs and a heart warming feeling. Kimi to boku has flashbacks about when they were on kindergarden while Usagi drop its about a kindergarden girl, also the art is similar and they are both slice of life~

Slice of life anime about the daily life of a group of boys. Both are very relaxing and easy to watch.

everyday life of group of friends both are good slice-of-life and comedy

Laid back. No main story. Similar comedy. Bit of romance.

same lazy atmosphere. no plot. both great and my two favorites shows.
report Recommended by otakuintraining
The twins look/feel very similar to Yukiatsu in Anohana. Yuuta is the one that resembles him the most.
report Recommended by Sammi4ever
Both have the same slice of life feeling, its about the daily life of a group of teenage friends, the difference is that they´re male in KtB and female in HI. Both involve several funny situations and hints of romance, as well as a love triangle.
report Recommended by Orulyon
If you liked Minami-ke, you will probably like Kimi to Boku. Both stories don't really have a plot, they're just about several characters and how they spend their time. While Minami-ke is about 3 sisters, Kimi to Boku is about 5 male friends. Both are very humorous.
report Recommended by kyochan03
Both shows are very calm and realistic. They don't feel like your average energetic slice-of-life with moe girls doing cute things. Instead, the characters are very well-written.
report Recommended by Seinentard
They both deal with real issues that are very relatable even to young adults. Deals with love, relationships, friendships, jealousy, one-sided love, and much more. Has a lovable cast of characters and the development is phenomenal.
report Recommended by maru-magus
One word that best describes both these anime series is - relaxing. Yuru Camps has female leads but Kimi to Boku has male leads. Both deal with friendships, relationships and just ordinary activities in life. Also, very pleasant OSTs. Watching before going to sleep leaves a soothing effect on our minds.

Similar slice-of-life about high-school friends, with similar comedic elements. They are both based on manga published in the same magazine. However, Horimiya has more romance.
report Recommended by TotoroTheGreat
Both series focus more on the character's development, and reactions to the changes in their day to day life, though the settings are different, but both the stories are very unique. Each character has a realistic tone to them, and they're both underrated must watches.
report Recommended by LuhanIsBae2
Both are set in High-school. Both are really funny and light hearted anime Their is no main story in both, just a bunch of High-school friends doing hilarious random stuff. Both are Comedy, School, Shonen anime with a little Romance....

Pure slice of life series.Yeah, pure slice-of-life without plot. But, both are truly funny and relaxing. Good for break after watching the usual action, mystery,or horror series

Both have a similar mellow feeling to it. Both are about school and teenage life. Both have very similar nice and calming music. Both have cats in the show :3 I think that if you like one you'll certainly like the other.

They are both largely slice of life. Even though Marginal#4 isn't tagged as Slice of Life, but after watching it, it is more of a slice of life than it is of music. It is basically a Slice of Life show using the Idol world as its background. They are both very easy to watch. They both have a big serving of lightheartedness sprinkled with humourous events, and have a large side of teenage friendship to go along with. Marginal#4 is a tad more comedic than Kimi To Boku Kimi To Boku is more relaxing than Marginal#4 Do give the other a try if you want something that is easy  read more

Both anime are soothing, fun to watch, have really good comedy, with slight romantic flavour. Both are about normal school life, with wide variety of quirky characters adding fun! At the end of episodes you are always left with a smile! Both the anime portray relationship between classmates, seniors and best friends. Like how well friends take care of each other without expecting anything in return and such. Both anime have a really great way of expressing these delicate sentiments, subtly but in depth at the same time. That's the best part about both these anime. On the surface all the characters in these anime are  read more

I'll warn you in advance that Kimi to Boku. is not a BL story, the boys here are all simply friends. However, I find warm, soft, sweet mood of these two anime quite similar, so if you'd like to watch another cute slice of life piece in high school setting, Kimi to Boku. would be a good choice.
report Recommended by hana_a_cha
A group of friends have fun together and face problem that are logic and relatable to our daily life. Either style of comedy or pastel color of the art is similar.

Outside of the Sports genre, Haikyuu!! is extremely well-liked for its fun characters with varied personalities, and the interactions between friends and teammates. Outside of a sports setting, Kimi to Boku has a similar humorous and feel-good atmosphere with a fun cast of boys, and is sure to make you smile!

Both animes are a romantic slice of life drama so if you are into these types of animes then I would highly recommend giving both these animes a watch. Firstly they both follow the life of boys and their daily lives, interests, stories and struggles whilst being high school kids. These shows aren't too heavy on romance, so if you are into romance I say give it a watch still but the romance is blossoming and deal with high school crushes which is always sweet. Both of these animes are short and they are practically the same with the peaceful and chill vibes, Kimi  read more

Both show shows the power of friendship. Between two anime, we can see how pure child heart.
report Recommended by boyoungsi
Easy-going, soft feeling, slice of life anime for both of them. Rather than focusing on all the plots, twist and turns in a lot of stories these days, these two focus on a more straight forward everyday stories in a relaxing tone.
report Recommended by leonkaung105
Both shows are slice-of-life comedy about a group of highschool friends. Kanaka is similar to Chizuru in terms of personality. Overall, a carefree atmosphere is common to both shows.
report Recommended by SolitaryGray
Kimi to Boku focuses on friendship instead of romance, but if you liked the theme of 'what it means to become an adult' being explored in Honey and Clover, you might as well like this title. (Especially s2, but it would be weird to recommend the continuation to the story) Characters in here are seemingly younger though, as they're high school students, so the growing up issues are approached from the younger point of view. Also, the soft touch to graphic style and story, the warm atmosphere as well as many sweet lead characters in Kimi to Boku also resemble H&C.

Both animes are about simple school-life and don't have complicated plots.
report Recommended by Eidvidas
Both anime have a slice of life genre, with heartwarming episodes. The stories surrounding the characters were simple, relaxing, funny and enjoyable, which either makes you smile or cry (out of the happiness) at the end. Totally recommendable to those who were feeling down and sad or stressed, this would totally make you smile and appreciate life.

Gin no Saji's protagonist, Hachiken Yugo, is the voice of Yuki from Kimi to Boku, and so the comedic timing feels very similar. Slice of life anime in very different ways, but both so endearing. They explore the uncertainty and joy of high school life, with Gin no Saji emphasising what it means to search for a dream. Very funny and very sweet.
report Recommended by helencs
Both series are slice of life genre about friendship. But got different in Natsuiro Kiseki about girls friendship ,but in Kimi to Boku about boys friendship.
report Recommended by neulin
It has the same air as Shirokuma Café. They're both slice of life anime, where there's no real "goal" with the story but rather a day-to-day story. I believe there are some similarities in characters as well, for instance Panda being as lazy as Yuuki or Penguin as the ironic and the one with sudden outrages as Kaname.

There's something about the deadpan humour and slice of life situations that makes me think about Nichijou when I watched Kimi To Boku. It might also be the art-style, it has soft colours and nice and simple character design.

Also a slice-of-life anime. It revolves around three boys. Involves funny situations.

Both have a group of boy friends who go through struggles and make memories together.

Similar jokes and overall a relaxing feeling~~
report Recommended by Orulyon
Both series revolve mainly around high school life of a close group of male friends. Rather slow paced and episodic, both are heartwarming stories. The narration style is similar as well. Though Boys Be focuses on romance and has some mild ecchi hints here and there, while the protagonists of Kimi to Boku for the most part just muse about little things happening every day -- it is more about the friends' bonds with each other and not with female characters. (It has romance, but right now it's a background element rather than the main focus). There is a big time gap between when these  read more

Kimi to Boku. and Asobi Asobase are school life anime focusing on the friendship between the main characters. No heavy drama or romance. Both anime are very light on narrative. Asobi Asobase, however, is peak sketch comedy with some wild moments. Kimi to Boku. is very much your definition of comedic slice of life. Your enjoyment for these anime will depend on whether you laugh watching their lives.

Both are comedies that focus on a group of boys and their "adventures" in high school.
report Recommended by chibix
Comedic yet laid back, similar art styles, and focused on character growth without much in the way of annoying slapstick. A real treat.
report Recommended by Numi
Both shows are centered around friendships with romance being secondary to the plot. However in Sakamichi no Apollon it's a little deeper(josei) and focused on Jazz as well.

Both are about a group of friends and the things they do together.

Similar school setting with 4 close friends (+ one more in KtB). Both are slice of life with unique art styles. OP sequences are also similar.
report Recommended by arigajoe
Both are light and kind series that center around feelings, friends and relationships. Animation is rather similar, so you may find the characters that look alike. These are examples of a good comedy that you will definitely enjoy watching!
report Recommended by ichimanzu
Both are based around school and share a main character who is dense toward others' feelings. The comedy in the two is also similar.

After watching any episode of either Lovely Complex or Kimi to Boku it leaves you with a happy, warm feeling. A satisfied feeling yet one that will make you want more. Although Kimi to Boku has an all male lead both animes have its fair share of laughs and highschool students with personalities you'll just fall in love with.
report Recommended by Wuddupashley
Cute teenage boys doing awkward but cute things. Both are quite slow-paced, colours are of a pale palette and have matching acoustic music. Similar characters: Tajima / Chizuru, Abe(and Hanai) / Kaname, Mihashi / Shun.

Meganebu and Kimi to Boku both involve friendship. We see the bonds between them and their ups and down. The comedy and drama are similar. Also the character's personality are very similar too.

These are both very calming, cute, and relaxing to watch. If you want a very believable and human coming of age story of growth, self-discovery, and friendship, these two are great. They have some very well-written characters that feel fleshed out and surprisingly ordinary (in a good way). These are two very down-to earth shows that give me the same vibes.
report Recommended by Xaeveax
Both have: *Slice of life, comedy, school *cute, heartwarming, friendship, teenagers, a group of friends *there are cats! in Kimi to Boku as ambient around and in Full Color with more dialogues between them. The only difference is Full Color is about girls and Kimi to Boku is about boys and has a little more romance.
report Recommended by darkuria
The same art style and music. It also has the same feel to it. Lots of random cat shots of course.
report Recommended by crockmez
Two shows about high school boys, chilling out, having silly conversations and reveling in the joys of friendship. The banter and close relationships between characters in particular is very similar. Binan is basically if the boys from Kimi to Boku had been chosen to be magical boys ("love princes") and save the world, and Kimi to Boku is essentially if you took the silly magical girl parody out of Binan. If you like one you'll be sure to appreciate the other.
report Recommended by noirgrimoir
Both are about daily highschool life. Shows stories about a group of friends, they're both more on the comedy side no real plot just watching their daily lives throughout highschool. I think it is basically the same but instead of a group of boys in Kimi to Boku, it's a group of girls in Azumanga Daioh. Both absolute favourite of mine for school life genre.
report Recommended by yorozuyano
It's rare to find an innocent slice of life anime about a group of boys, within anime. Even harder when both exhibit character themed episodes, character growth, subtle development, a relaxing mood and cute boys doing cute things. A few philosophical themes and morals in each show. Similar music.
