My other favorites are Law, Franky, Brook, Luffy, Zoro, and I know I have more favorites, but I can't recall them at the moment. X)

If you had read my About Furykury1 page, you would know when I first became aware of anime. In 1963, the area I lived in started broadcasts of Astro Boy in Black and White. There were only 12 or 13 episodes shown and then it stopped. This might have been due to the Assassination of President Kennedy. Later, I watched some of Gigantor and later Speed Racer. Then, it just disappeared.
In 1969, I was stationed in Vietnam and then Okinawa. While on Okinawa, I saw more Astro Boy, some of Kimba the White Lion and a very early work of Leiji Matsumoto's. But, when I returned to America in mid 1970 there was none being shown anywhere.
I went without watching anime until the early Spring of 2004 when I watched the first episode of FLCL. That hooked me and here I am 1300+ titles later (of which I have completed 808).
So, yes, I have watched the industry grow and change. I never really got into manga, but I have read a few. My main interest is anime, particularly Slice of Life, Romance, Josei and of course the better action and mystery stories. Peruse my Top Series and Movie lists for my all-time favorites, some of which have remained favorites since I first viewed them.

If I was trolling, you are the first bite in 8 months. So, I would likely give up fishing or look for better bait. LOL Actually, I worked hard to survive to get to my age and I am darn proud of that. So, I have nothing to hide from anyone. I list my age so that many closet anime lovers see that they are not the only old farts that love this stuff.
Yep, born in 1946. Back then we had to avoid packs of velociraptors to get to school. LOL Things sure have changed in those intervening years. Japan went from a destroyed country to one of the great industrial powers and the Japanese began their work on anime in earnest.

I see....and I agree, Clannad After Story is the ONLY Anime that I have watched and I ended up getting tears to form..hehe....yea, Higurashi no Koro ni is repetitive but once you finish it I think you will appreciate it a little more and both the opening song and closing songs are very good:)

Was checking out your completed Anime as opposed to your currently watching...You must watch C: After Story......and I am a little disappointed as to why you dropped Higurashi....although it is confusing and such, once you watch the 2nd season it is all but cleared up :) Give it a shot eh? you might be surprised!!
