Just for the information.

The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.

But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama.

Yea, the manga doesn't end where the anime ends. There you see the red haired guy develop more, he was basically pointless in the anime. Other than that, there are not many scenes that weren't in the manga but the once that were in the anime were so much stronger in the manga (because it wasn't rushed like the anime). Also the ending of the manga is a bit more romanic. Have fun reading it ^_^!

I see that you read manga a lot. My suggestion is Koe no Katachi, the manga is way better than the movie (also it's the only manga I finished :| )!
