“Hate is a place where a man, who can't stand sadness goes.”
In no particular order, i'll update these as they come to me.
My first obsession in anime, spice and wolf is one of the most nostalgic shows-
i remember getting so excited for more, and finding out the story is not fully
adapted buying the light novels, that was some years ago i dont think i could
enjoy it the same way now but i still think of it extremely fondly,
I can listen to this song on loop for hours.
Great animation, Queen Bee coming out with another banger- a rare unskippable OP.
I've been obsessed with anything monogatari for years when first getting into anime
thats now passed and i dont consider myself as big of a fan. not even watching
everything thats been released. That being said this OP goes sicko mode and i'll
fight anyone that tried to tell me Ren'ai Circulation is better, its not.
Honorable Mentions go to: sugar sweet nightmares, Futakotome, Mousou Express
and ofcourse Perfect Slumbers
This OP goes so insanely hard i cant even put it in writing,
Shingo really captured the essence of the anime, Literally gives me shivers If you've seen the anime you should know why.
Vaundy went completely craaazy with the track also.
Bumbell is one of the very few comedies i've enjoyed, its just a great feel good anime
with a positive message, and this opening is just so damn catchy.
Kiznaiver is one of those odd ball anime which i wouldnt rate very
highly but this opening is just so pretty, and the music that goes with it
is weirdly fitting- i've always been a fan although the anime is underwhealming.
One of the greatest OP songs period, i wish Bôa had more songs like this.
Lain will forever be one of my favourite shows due to its aesthetic
and this OP just highlights what the anime is all about Visually.
Early days of my anime watching, this OP and anime blew my mind-
to this day i consider this one of the best openings both visually and song choice wise.
Nostalgia...
Probably the most memorable of the bunch, really sends me back-
always a place in my heart
I can't not include this, banger of the ages
Probably my favourite animation wise, so much was happening during this arc
as a younger boy, it seriously blew my mind and i remember it really fondly.
Last but not least, when first watching- i caught up to Naruto as this became
the new opening, not only does the song go crazy KANA-BOON went nuts as always,
but also the animation direction is just brilliant showing us how far Naruto has come.
Figured i should do a separate section for Naruto openings
Just like the OPs, these are in no particular order, i'll update these as they come to me.
While the 1997 anime has its flaws, not being completely faithful
to the source material, its the closest we have and probably will get
to a good Berserk adaptation. While Hirasawa absolutely nails
what the Berserk OST should be, this ED really hits a home run for me too.
No need for fancy animations, just let me see the band of the hawk with some
mellow song playing.
Im waiting so long...
I feel like not enough people talk about this, its so fitting to the anime
and leaves you with a pit in your stomach with each episode ending.
I love this song and the animation for this ED is awesome
Shinsekai Yori was one for the first Seinen anime i've watched, and it really
opened my eyes to how dark anime can be- this ending has stuck with me
for years and i always recall those beginning strings when remembering the anime.
Black Bullet has a special place in my heart, amongst the first anime i've seen
and i've always had it in high regard even if i know its pretty terrible, I love
this song and i have to include it amongst my favourites.
In no particular order, i'll update these as they come to me.
Withougt a doubt my favourite OST, its just so well done on all accounts- paired
with Shafts amazing atmosphere theres no contest. I use my favourite picks from this
OST for manga reading and that alone is 50 songs and 2 hours long....
I feel like Aldnoah.Zero doesnt get the recognition it deservers- its truly a treat
to watch, it has some goofy plot points and its Mecha... but even for someone
like me who cant stand mecha this anime is brilliant and the OST is its strongest point.
Bre@th//Less is my favourite but honorable mentions go to: No Differences, aLIEz and Keep on Keeping on Hiroyuki a visionary..
Flat out all time favourite, there is no contest when it comes to this track-
Susumu pulled out all thestops to encompass the Guts vibe, its so perfect and
i have nothing but praise for his work. I have to include Behelit too
Best thing to come out of Akame Ga Kill, this tune alone carries the series, Yami o Kiru is another absolute banger but Kinpaku takes the cake for sure.
My favourite track of the whole series, Hiroyuki was really cooking with this one... Vogel im Käfig is another great one.
Prior to Demon Slayer being ufotables most acclaimed anime, the Fate series was most
likely the name everyone thought about when thinking of the Studio- its because of
moments like this where classical 2D meets incredible CGI. Truly a gem.
So simple, so boring even yet somehow sticks in my mind as one of
my favourite sequences.
This entire fight is just so well choreographed, art style takes a new hight
and the storyboarding is just mind blowing. The levels of creativity are at its peak here.
This isnt just great animation, the sound design is amazing- has always been my
favourite fight in the Fate/Stay franchise, the way Archer dissapears and the sound it
makes, shivers
From the smooth oldschool animation to the beats and the katana swing sound design,
this fight is one of my favourites, it really cemented itself as one of the best
from the day i first watched it
