i feel the same way about FLCL, bakemonogatari, bunny girl senpai and other anime that fans describe to be good coming of age stories. maybe i cant relate cuz i'm not teenager or a boy but damn they had me feeling stupid for not "getting it" when i watched them. i used to like read interpretations and analyses of eva on different blogs and forums but now imo if a show needs its viewers to grasp around for a deeper meaning maybe the fans are just projecting meanings that weren't even intended by the creator. LMAO oregairu 😭😭😭 i used to like SAO HELP 😭😭😭😭😭 but i forgive myself i was like 14 i could have done worse. everything blows you away when you just start watching anime. now i give 10 to pingu in the city because pingu is fucking awesome the haters just don't get it 😤 yeah look back is getting a lot of praise i'm gonna check it out after my semester ends maybe. i hope we get more anime with older characters too cuz i really enjoyed the very few anime in university settings that i came across
YES UGH THAT EPISODE😭😭 he gives his all into protecting that boy. there was also the time they were at the matoba estate because they always be doing shady stuff and nyanko sensei got injured and natsume kept checking on him constantly and patted his head every time. sidenote matoba is very creepy but he could have been hot if he wasn't
i dont remember her at all i think this calls for a full series re-watch which would be perfect in the winter. i was watching the eds to use one of the frames as a wallpaper and in most of them i noticed there's always natsume alone or with nyanko sensei at the beginning and then slowly he is joined by his friends and/or touko and shigeru and the yokai they really want to make the audience to feel all sorts of things and they're doing it well
also i bought a couple nyanko sensei blind boxes earlier this year and put one of them on top of my newly bought pc. my dad came to my room to ask something and saw the tiny figure and asked wtf is this and that was so funny to me cuz that's such a canon reaction to nyanko sensei lmfao 😭😭😭 he was like what did you put on your computer??????????? what is that thing???????
mine is like 3.5k per semester but thankfully it's fully covered by financial aid 💀 god youre paying your tuition all by yourself? i hope youre not paying rent as well 😭 ive met people here working 3-4 jobs just to cover tuition how are they even alive atp. my uni is alright for the most part but this month has not been great ive had some exam or giant assignment due every week (which is why my reply came so late) and just finished the last of them but finals week is a bit over 2 weeks away im NOT getting an A in any of my courses💀

lmao yeah i totally get that and its always happening to me ever since i started uni. im usually too tired to shower after i get home so i plop down on the floor and rest a bit but if mom tries to rush me to take a shower i just sit there for longer. with recommendations tho its like different cuz usually with recs youre not planning to check stuff out before someone tells you to? but the rest of it is very similar. mhm music tastes are very hard to gauge ive had very little success with recommending songs to people that they ended up liking and i think personally i liked a grand total of 2 recs lmao. i feel like it has a lot to do with expectations bc you know eva is so highly regarded by so many anime fans and i went into it expecting to be blown away but it ended up being very underwhelming for that very reason🤔
tiny nyanko from the time nyanko sensei got split into 3 mini senseis 😭 both the anime and manga do such a great job at slipping in small moments where you can see how much they care about each other despite nyanko sensei saying he is only after the book of friends or natsume saying sensei is useless. im a huge sucker for those scenes i have a collection of manga panels with those moments thats how much they mean to me 😭😭😭 old house episode and any other episodes that deal with natsumes past all hit very very hard i cant watch this boy getting hurt 😭 is the tree yokai episode the one in the clip you sent? i vaguely remember it but i cant tell maybe ill rewatch it :'

yeah the chapters come out very slow but theyre like 40 pages long so i havent been able to catch up yet but i will one day
you have to wait the same amount of time for a new season to come out anyway lmao they need more chapters to adapt 😭
real cuz recommendations make me put stuff off for longer and i end up not liking them tbh even with natsume i didnt like it a whole lot for season 1 and i didnt start season 2 (where i fully fell in love with the series) for a long time after that. this happens with song recs too i just cant really like songs that people rec for some reason??

YEAH and to me its not even a tearjerker because some of the ayakashi's stories are sad but its just that everyone is so kind and warm 😭😭😭 i feel especially emotional when they show touko and shigeru theyre so nice to natsume 😭 im quite far into the manga and i save every panel of natsume holding nyanko sensei ;A; wow youve been watching it for a long time i only started in 2019 and that too after someone on mal recommended it tbh i should thank her for it
