Now that I'm getting older, I'm really into keeping lists of the things I do now (including a list of anime I've viewed [don't know why, I just like it]). I love tennis, basketball, baseball, soccer, watching (american) football, surfing, eating, throwing bricks at people (joke), playing with my parents' dogs, taking nice tranquil walks around the city, videogames, sex, running, chilling on a beach, taking long walks on beaches, boobs, and driving my truck around town. Sometimes I can't sleep at night, so my other hobby is coming on here and reading random things and learning about all the anime in this world.
I became invested in anime while taking a film course titled global anime. Before, I never really thought much of the genre/medium or was even exposed to much of it other than the Miyazaki's films. Now, I can really appreciate its history, as well as its animation aesthetics, themes, big tits.. plot and story, subgenres, and even a bit of the culture of Japan, along with its trajectory of cultural globalization. Particularly, my favorite viewing/focus was the Ghost in the Shell film and the counterculture of cyberpunk. Specific themes of techno-orientalism, convergence, and the growing participatory culture relevant in our growing information age also were my greatest interests.
The more mature and adult-oriented shows are what I enjoy, though I really haven't given the high school sub genre a try yet (EDIT: as of today, February 6, 2016, I can finally say I dig high school anime). I love anime with a huge cast of badass characters, especially badass ladies. I also love really big tits, I mean story.

Anyway, I just wanted to compliment the scale you use for rating shows (very thoughtful and complex) as well as having Chihayafuru and Death Parade as two of your favorite shows (only because I love them too, but hey, I'm shallow like that)
