Nice to meet you...
Have a great day 😁
So how is 2024 looking for you in terms of anime? Any new shows or new seasons of old ones that you're looking forward to on this year's lineup?
Usually I watch a few episodes before going to bed, depending on how tired I am - probably that's why I am more inclined to watch stuff that won't get my heart racing. (*/ω\)
What I like to do is wait for a show to release in its entirety before I start watching it. This way if I get hooked, I can just go ahead and binge watch it, and not have to wait with bated breath for the next episode to be released. (*¯︶¯*)
Although I used to occasionally watch anime back when I was little (whatever commercial show was airing on TV at that time), I don't think that I ever managed to watch something from start to finish.
I really, really got into anime a few years back (probably somewhere around when the world shut down for a bit), but I can't recall what first sparked my newfound passion for it.
Oh, and I only just recently started reading manga as well - Heavenly Delusion is what I am reading right now, I really enjoyed the show (with a minor exception at the end, with which I won't bother you - in case you've watched the show, you'll probably know what I'm hinting towards), and the first season left a lot of questions unanswered, so I decided to pick it up.
Can't say that I am predisposed to watching something in particular. I'll give almost anything a try if it has an engaging or interesting narrative. The only exception I can think of are series that are too gory - I tend to steer away from those.
But if my statistics are to be believed, I gravitate mostly towards Fantasy, Romance, Slice of Life/CGDCT, Comedies and Action/Adventures, in no particular order.
What about you? Any favourite Genres/Themes?
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I'll be taking this opportunity to wish you all the best in the upcoming New Year! Have a great new trip around the sun!
Nice to meet you :)
