I might have to look at a PC too, since you can use a PC for other things. Well, other things as in applications useful to me. Hopefully it doesn't get too crazy though, as I wouldn't want tech like that to be combined with something like Pokemon Go and people donning headsets everywhere!

But yes. I don't want to get too ahead of myself with VR tech still being far from fully developed and sound.

For the FPS games I'd do more than just run into walls. I'd run straight into the line of fire. Or better yet, I wouldn't ever get to see who killed me. These games would turn demoralizing for me in a matter of minutes... haha

I can see RPG games being viable with their picturesque and vast backdrops. Nonetheless, I wonder how this tech will develop and evolve over the next decade. But I know for sure that this is platinum for the racing genre.

I'll probably lose years off my life span with FPS and fighting games. The curve for me to get into those, let alone become decent or good, is pretty steep when considering how little I exposed myself to those genres over the years. I still am haunted by olden days of getting served in the old Street Fighter and Halo. Heck, throw Smash Bros in there too! Doesn't help that I'm competitive, so getting owned handily would entice me to break some hardware and stuff. But racing is my passion, so I can withstand more abuse there... haha

Nah, it's just a space-filler for the 2016 calendar. I have no idea what a real job or real money is.

If you're playing all kinds of games then for sure. But that shouldn't really apply to someone who will be stationary in a seat, gripping and ripping it (the wheel) as if I were the fastest driver in the world.

I'm somewhat considering it. But it ain't gonna be cheap to get everything and I need to learn more about the VR and any implications it might have for long-periods of usage. After all, racing games aren't all about short sprint and circuit races.

You'll have your turn at that. Just gotta come thru (with college or whatever) and stay fresh until then!

I wonder if Sony's VR stuff will launch smoothly. My return to gaming could be incoming with three racing games and all the new hardware dropping this Fall.
