Yeah animes are really unique in that sense. I love the feeling of hunting for good animes, you can never say when you find a hidden gem.

Well I was bored with regular movies, cause of that at the time(2016-17) I was rewatching my childhood favorite shows like beyblade metal saga, pokemon etc, and that's when I came to know there's a separate thing called animes. Never looked back since lol

Glad you liked the Blue Lock: Episode Nagi movie, I’m still a bit behind on Blue Lock… but I’ll try to catch up by the time we get S2 this fall. Sounds like a good one (Episode Nagi). Character development in sports anime is always a treat, when handled well.

Agreed, Frieren was/is a complete home run on every level. While not every anime adaptation gets the same treatment, I do think we’re seeing a lot more new and ongoing series that are pretty well crafted.

Mushoku Tensei, Kaiju No. 8, Wind Breaker, Demon Slayer (despite ufotable’s adaptation choices), Apothecary Diaries, Slime, Blue Lock, Chainsaw Man, [Oshi No Ko], Dr. Stone, JJK, Re:ZERO, Bocchi the Rock, Spy x Family, Summertime Rendering, Pluto, Vinland/Frieren, and on and on. Dandadan looks to be another one.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for it, it’s rare to find those “instantly engaging” manga/manhwa… or series for that matter.

That’s true, there’s always the balancing act of how much to keep, and how much to leave out. Unfortunately, not every project is a labor of love like Vinland Saga, Frieren, etc. Anyway, thank you for the recommendation. :)

Omniscient Reader… I’ll keep that in mind. Sounds like a good one. I’d expect quite a few manhwa adaptations in the next couple of years (“post-Solo Leveling”). There’s a lot to keep track of, constant announcements and updates. Glad there are so many lists and summaries around. :)
