I think a good backlog is probably around 5-7 kits as you have enough stuff to build, you have options on what you build next and you can pick up a deal or get a gift without it being too high of a pile. Stuff was harder to come by during COVID and I ended up having less time than expected so I'm pretty backlogged, honestly I should probably unload some.
It was actually really funny, he actually greeted me by punching me in the arm (I didn't notice him, this was back when I was working overnight and zombie mode)too so if I was carrying the box I might have dropped it so it could have been even funnier. Anyway, I hope you're having a good holiday, Merry Christmas.

On its 10th anniversary too, which Disney did nothing about.

Having said that there probably will be some up for grabs after that so if it's something you genuinely want you might be able to get one. Personally it's a favorite design of mine and I didn't realize it was going to become hard to get, I also ran into one of the doctors I worked with on the way out of the hobby shop so it would have been an interesting conversation explaining what was in the massive box I was carrying. The kit itself is not supposed to be great, if I remember correctly it's based on an old early MG that got cancelled because they had issues with the engineering so they shelved it and later finished it because it won a fan poll. As a result the kit itself is not at the level of an MG from the time it was released and is somewhere in-between an MG and an HG with how it's engineered. I'm really under the impression this kit is not worth it unless you really like the suit especially since the price is fairly high too. But don't let that stop you if you want to build it, it's certainly not going to deter me.
Undoubtedly! I was pleasantly surprised to see Misa is the most favorited of the og series.
The plan is to watch everything Macross related but the later entires where they lean more heavily into the idol stuff has me a bit hesitant to watch those. I’ll cross that bridge when I get there I guess lol.
You'll play Rebirth once I get to FF16, LOL. I am downloading the demo finally...
Also downloading the demo for this one:

I dig RE/SH styled puzzles that never take too long, though SH can ramp it up. Even in 2R there were a few making me go mad, but in a good way haha. Never do them back to back or anything too crazy though, I think there's a nice pace to a puzzle to break things up every once and awhile. But yeah I'd go to a straight up puzzle game if I want something truly hardcore.
Kind of makes me think... I finally tried this game lately:

Fell off fast sadly though. I was hoping for a cool Mirror's Edge kind of thing, but it's hard as hell. One hit and your have to respawn. So it's more like that trial and error Super Meat Boy kind of stuff. Not a fan of that.
There's the long fabled bromance between Geoff and Kojima, but then people dig into how it's kind of fallen off in recent years. Maybe they're divorced. *laughs* I'll probably give DS2 a look someday on a deep sale when it hits PC. But I'll be more excited for his next stealth action game.
I agree with Synth there. I'd label Clair Obscur as a AA game. Yeah "UE5 faces" people are knocking on more and more lately, I'm starting to see it haha... You probably heard though, the game does run well unlike a lot of other UE5 games. That is kind of shocking for a smaller team to pull off. I could see you digging Clair like I did, and since you too have played many RPG's over years, it probably won't change your life haha. Main takeaway is that I appreciate it being woke free, when it's very Western look might give off other vibes. Cool story and characters. I agree though it feels like a coin flip if it'll have a lasting impact or not.
Yeah, I can't deny the PR's are a bit overpriced.
This Post Trauma MC looks so goofy lol. This is trying SO hard to be a Silent Hill, lmfao.
I jumped on them individually from some sales finally. I already bought FF3 awhile back, but for 1, 4, and 5, it was $34.13 checking my receipt. I think I'm open to trying FF6 PR someday now, if only for these amazing arranged OST's.
I've probably replayed FF4 the most next to FF6, so it's nice finally tackling FF5 another time instead. Technically my third playthrough. But I fell off the PSX version way back, the translation was awful and hard to care. The GBA version fixed that.
So far, I can tell completing the bestiary and learning all the blue magic will be the most taxing things here haha. But yeah I'm having fun with a mostly spoiler free guide collecting all the missables along the way. It's not telling me how to build my party and stuff. I can recall what I did in the GBA version, so it's cool to try and level up their jobs differently this time, or knowing what's good end game. Like Red Mage kind of sucks mid game, but it has Double Cast when you master it and is incredible for other mages. Time Mage has Meteor which might be better than anything Summoner/Black mage can do, etc haha.
Took a few days off playing other stuff, now I'm back to FF5 PR and can immediately tell this is probably the best version of FF5 by far. It has the awesome script of the GBA version that made me a fan, but all the PR features of speeding some stuff up and whatnot, that'll be nice. Also FF5's battle theme is the one sticking point to me, my least favorite. Almost annoying after hours worth haha... but the arranged version is awesome. So that fixes my biggest nitpick lol.

Gonna have a lot of fun with this one. I think that's the last time I play FF1/FF3, they're tedious now heh. Not a fan of the weird static "Uses" magic system either. Also I don't know if having the ATB bar back itself in FF5 is some placebo too... but yeah just literally everything feels better again in FF5's gameplay. Was almost worried I betrayed old FF for DQ now haha, but nah. Just had to get back to the SNES era.
There was some extensive footage in recent months:

Combat still looks a bit soft, like lacking impact and feeling all those fancy hits. The boss at the end looks really telegraphed too. I think the rest could be legit real time gameplay, but I'm skeptical of this boss fight. But overall... looks pretty promising to me. Have to see how it feels myself now. It's actually the stuff outside of the bosses that entices me. The MC, world design, etc looks great. Something that Wukong really lacked from what I heard.
Maybe don't look into the new KOTOR, because now there's reports it's probably not coming until 2030. WTF man, these devs just can't help themselves with these early reveals.
