Saint Tail fan? :D

The thing that prevented me from loving Saint Tail is that I felt the final few episodes could have easily been a full fledged arc that capped off the last 8-10 episodes. The standalone episodes were all fine but personally I think that could've pushed it over the edge to be an undeniable favourite.

The first season of City Hunter didn't really grab me that hard but season 2 got me hooked so if you're already liking it then you have something to definitely look forward to. The relationships get just a little more fleshed out and the overall character dynamics reach their peak. In addition to that the "canon" episodes (i.e. the more serious toned ones) really stand out here, some of the best writing I've seen in 80's anime. And while the ratings may say otherwise I really think seasons 3 and 4 were pretty great too, some of the episode plots begin to take a different direction in those seasons but the main cast is so well understood at that point that these new concepts just work.

Damn someone's binging the fuck out of City Hunter. If you're liking it so far then a word of confidence is that it gets better, seasons 2-4 are definite upgrades from the first season.

Also extremely good taste, interesting to see another advocate for Saint Tail. Really underrated show I agree, personally I'm more of a Cardcaptor person myself but Saint Tail's definitely up there in the genre.
