Brief Biography
I began watching anime back in 1998 at the age of 6 with Pokemon. Before that, I had seen movies like My Neighbor Totoro and Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, but it wasn't until this point that I began watching anime series. When Pokemon lost popularity in school I was introduced to Digimon which held my interest until DragonBall Z became popular. After DragonBall Z was YuGiOh! which, like Pokemon, wasn't a great anime to watch, but the card game made the show worth watching, much like the Gameboy games and cards made Pokemon.
This is where I branched off and delved more into anime. One night, I discovered DragonBall Z playing late at night on Toonami's Midnight Run and was introduced to YuYu Hakusho. I continued watching Adult Swim and Toonami and discovered shows like Inuyasha, Tenchi Muyo, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL, Outlaw Star, Cyborg 009, and The Big O. It was also around this time that I ran across a certain magazine called Shonen Jump. Through Shonen Jump, I became a fan of Naruto which I learned I could read online ahead of the publication in America. Through this, I ended up broadening my horizons and reading/watching things not yet released in America.
Then I got to High School and became too busy with extracarricular activities and studying to spend time on anime. It would be 6 years before I actually became interested in anime again through a couple of friends' newfound interest. Which brings us to today.
I also enjoy playing video games. My two favorite series are The Legend of Zelda and Silent Hill. In High School, I was involved in the Marching Band and played the trumpet as well as our school's Theater program through which was inducted into the International Thespian Society. I've attended A-kon 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 23 and 24 as well as RTX 2012. I have also spent a total of 9 weeks in Japan for holiday.
