The only option I have is getting a hearing aid...which is expensive. I'm also afraid of wearing one because if it suddenly turns off, I might experience intense vertigo again and I may have to wait for several days until I regain my composure.

Once you damage your hearing cells in your ear, you're never getting them back. So be sure to take good care of your ears...

It most certainly is. Left ear hears 60 decibels below the norm, making it impossible for me to hear if my right ear is plugged. Not only is the hearing impaired, but I have permanent Tinnitus, and I get dizzy very easily. Not to mention that it is very difficult for me to get up from bed because of the hearing imbalance.

Thank you for the friend request. Not much of a tip person myself, I just face my problems head on and am left with no regrets which help me sleep well at night.
