Hey Chris! I deleted my Facebook sometime early 2021. The only social media I've used lately has been Letterboxd, and I guess a little bit of MAL as of the last few days. That's why I haven't been on in a while. Even the CD twitter has been run by Dan.

We actually do have a YT component that I'm simply uploading old episodes too. Over time it'll be caught up with the show as it is now, but it's audio only. Since I've introduced a new, more local cohost, I've brought up video now and then but I'm also a bit warry about it. I like sticking to audio. Plus, my new cohost is a woman, and I know their experience of being in a video format will ultimately end up be very different to my own.

I hope you've been enjoying the show! We're looking to do Ani-May soon. Gonna do an episode on Madoka and a few other projects. We're both really excited! In the meantime I've been rereading Madoka stuff (and first-time reading a few others) so I can give a good mention and mini-review for some of the spin-offs and extra stuff. Should be fun :)

At the time I really enjoyed finishing projects, and I also enjoyed simply finding new things to read. Sometimes my thoughts fluctuate as I read, and even the finale's can end up changing my score. Nowadays I'm far less patient with media, which is why I have largely stuck to movies (link to my Letterboxd in my profile). 90-minutes is easier to work with than, like, 12-24 episodes of a program.

As for manga, I also just find it comforting so reading it is easier, even if I think it blows. Which manga were you talking about? Was it Pupa? Man it's been so long, but I think there were a few things I liked about the art style, its somewhat short length, and I had watched the anime. So, I was just curious. But yeah, nowadays I'd probably be reticent to just, like, drop something I'm not vibing with.
