I got back into anime back in early-2021 and didn't really dive deep into the medium when I stopped years back. But since then I've taken recommendations from others like friends and co-workers and even stumbled across some neat shows myself. I really don't mind what I watch or read, whether it's seinen or shoujo, sports to BL, Initial D to Chargeman Ken - if I find it entertaining or find something interesting about it (or if it's trash), chances are I'll wanna take a look at it.

As for the manga numbers, until recently the last time I did much manga reading was back in high school so I'll have to re-read stuff before feeling confident in updating it. I've gotten a few recommendations but if anything less I'll just read what I find in passing or happenstance. As with anime I'm not really picky so long as it's entertaining or interesting.

Besides this stuff, I mostly just use MAL to track and categorize what I watch and read. I also work from home these days, so when it gets slow I'll catch-up on things; that'll be the reason for any midday (for a guy in Texas anyway) updates if you're keeping track.
