It just made me genuinely angry. I don't even remember how I stumbled into this but I regret every moment of it.
The story tries way too hard to be "heart wrenching" and even goes on entire chapter-long tangents, having no pacing whatsoever so you can't tell if it takes place over a couple days or a week or whatever.
The artwork is fine but they have waterfalls of tears at every opportunity that feeds into how bad the story is.
Even the ending is upsetting because it's basically not even an ending. It's an epilogue after the events of the story to try and retroactively justify what ... happened. But instead it just creates more questions while leaving other things unanswered.

No redeeming qualities.

When I first started this I was pretty excited because the art was good in my opinion and it gave off a thriller feeling. But later on, I feel like the plot became kinda messy and I was confused in some parts. I feel like both characters were so stupid especially the girl who thinks so stupidly because they could have done something else so that they could both just be happy and not commit any crime. And I just finished the manga and the ending sucked. Like nothing was resolved and it was kinda confusing why the girl went into the ocean and then ... walked out of the ocean into the distance like HMMM.

"Killer in Lover" is a thought-provoking manga that delves into the complexities of human nature and the moral justifications of murder. The story is set in an unsettling environment and raises questions about the consequences of growing up in such a setting, as well as the nature of love and companionship.

The artwork in this manga is not particularly noteworthy, but the story more than makes up for it. The plot is captivating and filled with twists and turns that keep the reader engaged. Although it deals with heavy themes such as parenthood, murder, and love, the manga is relatively short, making it easy to read ... in one sitting.

The author does an excellent job of fleshing out the main characters and their backgrounds, though the supporting characters are somewhat underdeveloped. Despite this, the plot remains intriguing and well-crafted. The story is oversimplified at times, but the overall message is clear and effectively conveyed.

In conclusion, "Killer in Lover" is a worthwhile read for those who are open to exploring the darker aspects of human existence. It may not be the most memorable manga out there, but it certainly leaves a lasting impression. I would give it a 7.5 out of 10.
