I have started Vinland saga. very good so far 20 chapters in.
Looks like we will finally get the ace number even though Ochiai has different opinions than Kataoka

Liked it a lot, although you know what I am really waiting for. The ace number on his back to be announced.

Most of it felt like it was copying Major and everything else about it didn't interest me. Touch and Major I consider vastly superior and when I watched Diamond no Ace it just fell short, very often in Diamond, I would get to an arc and think "Wow, this is the exact same as an arc in Major, it's even playing out similarly!". I consider a 5 to be indifferent, not bad, not good, really have no feelings towards it in the end.

Edit: Touch heavily inspired Major, and then Major seems to have inspired Diamond no Ace, but whereas Major just took some small elements, it felt like Diamond no Ace was literally just copying a lot of times. As far as I know (too lazy to check rn), they are also all published in the same manga magazine.
