Hello! My name is Em, AKA an1m3niac on MAL
I've always loved watching animation. From Disney and Pixar to Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and DBZ. I really got into anime thanks to Toonami and Adult Swim in the 2000s (and that time I randomly walked into a Suncoast and bought my first anime movie on VHS). The first anime that I recognized as anime were Inuyasha, Witch Hunter Robin, and FMA (2003), thanks again Adult Swim!! I really started getting into anime after watching Mushi-shi and Death Note during their original broadcasting run.
My favorite genres are sports, slice-of-life, romcom, and psychological. I tend to lean towards anime targeted at the seinen demographic. I love an anime with iyashikei or calming/relaxing elements. My 33 year-old Pisces friend is also a huge fan of Laura Bailey, the voice of Gemini Sunrise. Yes, the Sakura Taisen V character and it's weird that Subaru from said game sounded nothing like other characters Kate Higgins dubbed.
Other than that, I got lots of NT Warrior to rewatch and lots of Sorcerer Hunters to read this season before getting into more Digimon V-Tamers (best overall adaptation of Digimon ever).
Chihayafuru? That's the manga my friend from North Carolina loves.

Yep, I reccomend it, and also a season 2 is coming out soon (and its definite :D ) so if you like that theres still more :)
Haha speaking of neverending 'Plan to Watch' lists, mine is something too XD everytime i click on something from there i end up talking my self out of it :/ Too much ecchi. What was I thinking???

I heard the after story was a bit sad :| Im not too sure about sadness tbh. Not my forte.
Yes I've seen quite a few Miyazaki films, they were really good :3 i havent seen the newest one Ponyo yet, but i want to.
Hmmmm well a new anime that just finished airing was Hakuouki. I finished it yesterday and it was pretty good :) Just a tad graphic with the blood and stuuf but still good :)
Atm I am trying to finish everything in my currentlywatching list for anime manga and drama. Thats my main aim this summer, however sad that may be :P
