Synopsis:
A sci-fi (?) love comedy. Niwa Makoto is an ordinary high school boy. While his parents are away on business, he lives with his aunt's family. There he meets one of his cousins Towa Erio, who wraps her upper body with Futon mattress and calls herself an alien.
Erio had been missing for half a year and found floating on a sea. She doesn't remember anything happened in the period, but she started to think it was alien's act and wanders the neighborhood with Futon on.

Are they trying at all with the synopsis? "ordinary high school boy".... might as well put "a cliched plot for you to rant about"

From what I know, Dance in the Vampire Bund and Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei was the only 'lol budget fail' animes they've ever done.
Liking BMG doesn't guarantee liking their other shows though, Bake is pretty different from their other shows.
Don't forget Hidamari Sketch S1, wasn't a failure though, but definietly ultra-low budget (that's why its 5,000 sold copies were a huge success)

I like SHAFT but knowing them this anime could go two ways... the low budget fail of Dance in the Vampire Bund or the ultra win of Bakemonogatari... Looking at the director too... Shinbou, Akiyuki... Who knows how this anime will turn out?

Plus the girl has blue hair and every time I see her out the corner of my eye I think she's Konata. That's as good a reason to watch an anime as any. XD
