Light Novel Dantalian no Shoka To Be Animated

According to Kadokawa's notice to the bookstores, Mikumo Gakuto's light novel "Dantalian no Shoka (Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian)" was announced to get an anime adaptation. The details will be revealed in The Sneaker magazine on June 30th.

Dantalian no Shoka has been serialized in The Sneaker magazine since August 2008 and its manga adaptations have been published in Monthly Shonen Ace and Monthly Comp Ace since March 2010.

Synopsis:
Hugh Anthony Disward inherits an old mansion and a personal library from his grandfather. In the basement of the mansion, he meets a mysterious girl Dalian. She is a Dantalian and a gateway to "Dantalian's bookshelf", which stores the prohibited books of the demons. "Gensho (Illusory Books)", the prohibited books, endanger the balance of the world but people are fascinated by the taboo. Huey and Dalian solve the cases involving Gensho with their ability to access to Dantalian's bookshelf.

I like the novel and the manga versions, BUT when I saw the character design on the official site... GAINAX will be turned into GAYNAX or what? Poor Dalian, look at her... she's like an old hag ._. Huey made good, but not the girl... Geez, now I hope GAYNAX won't troll this...

Yes but this year they

a) Searched for additional artist to make some new series. And detailes about what should he draw was very similar to this plot
b) Was announced that it would be ecranization of story about "boy and girl who would collect the books"
c) Was announcedd that details would be given on the end of June in The Sneaker anime-magazin

So I'm giving 90% that they would make it. I'm ready to even bet on it. So let's wait for June 30 for details ;)

I don't think so.

Gainax only make 1-2 anime each year normally and they are already working on Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt, possibly alongside another project, so I don't see them making this. I don't think that Gainax have ever animated a light novel series either (the FLCL novel and anime ran pretty much at the same time). Almost all of their work up to now has either been original or adapted from a manga

Seven arcs might be a possibility since they created Asura Cryin' (one of the previous posters mentioned hey have the same author), but I am almost certain it won't be Gainax.
