ALIVE Anime Officially Canceled

According to the official website of Monthly Shonen Magazine, the anime project of Alive was announced to be canceled. The production of the anime had been suspended since the delisting of Gonzo from Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers in 2009. The producers had been seeking to resume the project but concluded to abandon the anime.

This really bums me out but it was still an amazing read.

He literally wrote the last chapters on his death bed. You can sense his voice coming out in the last chapter the mc says at the end" I'll keep living"
and there is a scanlator note " there is a poignancy in the way these last pages of this last chapter were written. As some of you may know, the author of alive finished this series on his death bed. The narration you have been reading probably contains the authors exact thoughts as he faced his own death. Sort of like someone speaking to you from the grave."

It's been 3 years since I've last finished the manga. Times has changed... Alive's Anime has been canceled, The author of the manga died, and the series has been dead quiet. We need a Revive! This Series was an amazing one and I cannot accept the fact that this series will not be turned into an Anime! I LOVE Alive The Final Evolution to death! .______.

There's better stuff waiting to be animated. Alive was decent and I doubt the anime would be something great. Sad but true.

Sad, this manga is really good. It sucks that a lot of crappy manga are getting animated instead of this.

This stinks! I was looking foward to it too! I guess I'll have to give the Manga a try... wouldn't have known about it, if it weren't for the fact that they were going to be making the Anime. But... this does explain, why it isn't on my list anymore.

Madhouse already managed to turn gantz, kobato and claymore to an utter bullshit.

Gantz was made by Gonzo and not madhouse. Your opinion has now been rendered worthless. I am going to laugh at you now.

Anyway, deeply disappointed by this. I was reading the manga and I got to say this would have made a really good anime. I would have loved to see that wolverine icicle chick in action.....
