VA Gori Daisuke Commits Suicide

According to Chunichi news, seiyu Gori Daisuke found dead on a road in Nakano, Tokyo. He was bleeding from the wrist. Nakano Police discovered a knife and his suicide note. He was 57.

I don't think I can look into this any longer, despite being so curious.

Minaguchi Yuko is pretty effin' devasted, probably to the point that she might not want to play Videl (Dragonball). Or maybe she's saying that out of grief and it's temporary ("kinda don't want to"/might), or "will not play her". I can't read what she said.

Furukawa Toshio and Inoue Kazuhiko also expressed their feelings.

Also, the Aoni Production main site updated and apparently said Gouri died of heart failure....huh? during the suicide? (性心不全)

I was in Nakano the other day too. Looking at anime merch in the Broadway shopping mall.

This is sad news. It looks very much like suicide since he had prepared his last will and testament too.

In addition to Dolze Zabi of Mobile Suit Gundam, he also voiced Om Bask for Zeta Gundam (both roles which need to be added on the MAL page).

He sure has a lot of notable voices, in anime and in games. It's a real shame to see such prolific person going. Rest in peace Daisuke Gouri.
