Light Novel 'Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku' Gets Anime
The Dengeki Bunko 30th Summer Festival Online 2023 event announced an anime adaptation of Shoukai Rocket's Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku (Sentenced to Brave Punishment) on Sunday.
Rocket originally began penning the adventure fantasy on the Kakuyomu website in October 2020. Kadokawa began publishing the title under its Dengeki Bunko label with illustrations by Mephisto in September 2021 and released the fourth volume last December. The fifth volume is scheduled for an August 17 release.
Natsumi Inoue began serializing a manga adaptation in Dengeki Comic Regulus in March 2022. Kadokawa published the first volume in December 2022.
Yen Press licensed the light novel in English this February and plans to publish the first volume on August 22.
Yuusha-kei placed third in the tankobon category in the 2023 Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! rankings.
Synopsis
Heroism—a punishment for only the worst criminals. Those sentenced to the fate of a hero are forced to fight at the front lines against the demon king's army—and if they die, all they can expect is to be revived and continue the battle. But when their leader, convicted of killing a goddess, meets another goddess himself, the contract they forge may be enough to change the world... (Source: Yen Press)

Oreimo is an ecchi incest anime with underage characters in school, the people animating the anime are adults drawing nsfw images of these characters.
Plus some of the people working on the show, also went on to work on Eromanga Sensei (same author as Oreimo), which is another ecchi harem incest loli show...

Would you mind sharing your thought process?

Yes I do think that nsfw "art" of underage characters should be illegal. Do you think differently?

I don't even have to tell you how problematic Oreimo is.
Do you think the creator of Oreimo and all the people who work on it should be arrested?

Oreimo was my favorite show from the first time I watched it as teenager onwards, I rewached it many times because it is pure nostalgia to the time I started watching anime. In Oreimo there is no typical loli character (3000 years old dragon or anything similar) involved even though as of today I probaly wouldnt decide to watch it if I hadnt already watched it before. Also who said anything about me buying merch? Furthermore if you take a look behind the scenes of the anime industrie you will realise that many big companies are affilated with them, if as you said I have to boycott them to gain the right to criticize anime I woud have to stop way more than just watching anime. If I were to adhere to what you said I would have to stop using things like electricity or cars or stop eating anything I didnt grow in my backjard in order to gain the right of criticizing climatechange. Your logic is still a mystery to me.

No, what I'm trying to say is:
If you think lolis is problematic and you want to see it end, then you quite literally should boycott and stop watching anime, as to not give that industry any form of support.
For example, just look at how much money Studio Mappa has made from casuals buying JJK and CSM merch, this is all money going back to a studio which made a show like Idaten Deities...
I just find very hypocritical to continue to enjoy anime and support the industry when they are using that money to make stuff that you should be fighting against
And from looking at your list, it seems that not even you can escape the "problematic" anime, like, why is Oreimo one of your most rewatched anime...????

The point you dont get is that not every anime has loli in it, and your argumentation of "people in the industry tolerate it/like it" doesnt work. You just generalize anime as media, from your perspective I coulndt read books because there has always been some that have content in it I think of as problematic. You are just trying to cancel critisism on this topic because what I write doesnt match your opinion.

It's different when the media itself you are consuming is full of this "problematic" stuff.
It's not something going on behind the scenes like with the phones, but something that has been around and present for decades now.

Your argumentation is weak, its the same as if I would say stop using phones because they were produced under exploitative working conditions. I think it is a good thing ro raise awareness for problems, not everyone who watches anime is supporting loli culture. And because of people that make such statements as you many people who arent connected to anime/manga culture stigmatise those who watch anime or read manga!

If you find this bad, then you shouldn't even be watching anime in the first place, considering how many people working in the industry are lolicon themselves or at least see no problems with it....

Wanted to read the light novel when Yen Press would release it in August since the plot seemed interesting but got put off by the cover. Immediately lost interest due to the loli on the cover of the first volume. Would have bought and read it if it was a more mature girl. Such a shame. Guess I'll peek at the anime a bit instead.
I can't imagine acting like this over a non issue.
