Manga is on hiatus like HxH. Mediocre overall but the character design makes up for it.

Notice that later story becomes crazy and reaches hellish proportions

I have to say that is pretty rich when the trailer says... "The long-awaited anime". Seriously, people have been waiting for this Anime just as much as they were awaiting for the "Battle Athletess Daiundoukai " remake.

"The long-awaited anime"... Who the hell been waiting for this Anime anyways?

Unless you grew up watching obscure Anime in the early 90's, barely anyone knew about this Anime to begin with until just about a week ago when they announced it was getting a new series.

The first adaptation was 90s eyecandy: good aesthetic but everythign else was uninteresting. cant tell if its a matter of direction or the source material is already that bad, but Im giving this adaptation a chance.

Not surprising that Netflix and Liden Films go hand-in-hand, especially that the studio was one of the backers when Netflix first gave a shot on licensing anime that wasn't so hot back then.

If anything, expect Blade of the Immortal-like animation, especially for a 2-cour series that came out a wedge earlier than Kentaro Miura's Berserk of classic greatness.

Maybe it's time to whiplash the classics out for a modern reboot.

As a dark fantasy it gives me Berserk vibes and the characters even looked similar to Guts/Griffith. Another similarity I found is that both manga ended after a very long time from their initial release (lol). Anyways it looks like something I can look forward to.

A few bad eggs amongst the extended staff, but that PV was sick as hell. Gets to the point quickly and strongly, which really fits with the tone of the original work, and thankfully shows that it may have dodged Netflix's ruinous grasp. Exceedingly hyped for this one.

This doesn't look bad visual wise at all....I'm just praying that they don't censor this to thy kingdom come like they did with Terra Formars
