The official website of the Ao Ashi (Aoashi) television anime revealed on Wednesday two additional cast members and its first key visual (pictured). The anime adapting Yuugo Kobayashi's soccer manga is scheduled to premiere on April 9 at 6:25 p.m. on NHK E-Tele.

Shunsuke Takeuchi (Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi) and Yuuichirou Umehara (2.43: Seiin Koukou Danshi Volley-bu) are joining the previously announced cast as Nagisa Akutsu and Haruhisa Kuribayashi, respectively.

Akira Satou (Release the Spyce) is helming the anime at Production I.G and Masahiro Yokotani (Free!) is handling the series composition. Masaru Yokoyama (Taisou Zamurai) is composing the music.

Manabu Nakatake (Sket Dance), Toshie Kawamura (Lord of Vermilion: Guren no Ou), Asuka Yamaguchi (The God of High School sub-character design), and Saki Hasegawa (Shin Chuuka Ichiban!) are designing the characters.

Kobayashi began the manga based on Naohiko Ueno's original draft in Big Comic Spirits in January 2015. Shogakukan will ship the 27th volume on February 28.

I heard about this being talked about on other sites. Looks pretty good. I haven't really watched a football anime that has made an impact on me so I have some expectations for this one.
