'Sword Art Online Movie: Progressive - Hoshi Naki Yoru no Aria' Additional Staff, Cast, Fall 2021 Opening

The Connect Green stage for the Sword Art Online Movie: Progressive - Hoshi Naki Yoru no Aria (Aria of a Starless Night) anime film at AnimeJapan 2021 unveiled production staff, a second key visual (pictured), and second trailer on Saturday. The film will open in theaters in Japan in Fall 2021.

Inori Minase (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) is joining the cast as Mito. Minase joins Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (No Game No Life) and Haruka Tomatsu (Horimiya), who are reprising their roles as Kazuto Kirigaya and Asuna Yuuki, respectively.

Ayako Kouno (Koi wa Ameagari no You ni assistant director) is directing the film at A-1 Pictures. Yasuyuki Kai (Haikyuu!!) is the action director, Kento Toya (Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld) is designing the characters, and Yuki Kajiura (Kimetsu no Yaiba) is composing the music.

Probably everything about Kirito x Asuna ship, because they went from borderline strangers into perfect couple in a blink of an eye.

That's not a plot hole. Also, Kirito and Asuna had known each other for almost two years by that point. Even if it happened offscreen and was time skipped, doesn't mean it DIDN'T happen. There were time stamps for each episode. By the point they got married, they had known each other for 2 years, and had been dating for a couple months.

I'm really excited to see this movie! I hope they follow the light novel as much as possible because I love how Progressive's going so far.
It's a good idea to have a different start with Asuna's point of view instead of Kirito's this time, because in this way it won't be the same as the first series back in 2012. However, I would them to go back to Kirito's point of view in case of sequels because this is the way it is in light novels.

s4 = trash

btw sao aincrad arc was amazing but they just destroyed it with skipping best parts to rush the story
but its awesome to back to amazing part of the story but you know, i just cant imagine kirito and asuna without lovely relationship between them:xD kinda hard you know:D

They gonna add original scenes in Asuna POV, its interesting to see some parallels to Kirito first day in Aincrad.

And if you expecting that this movie is the whole progressive, you are wrong because the source is ongoing. And they gonna adapting 1st floor.

A little surprised by the lack of response here but I'm definitely looking forward to this as well.

Aincrad arc had/has so much potential and I'm just hoping it'll live up to it now.

Trailer looks great as expected , I'm really glad that they are not rushing the adaptation.

Hopefully this is just the beginning and they'll adapt the SAO progressive without rushing it till the end.
