'Ex-Arm' TV Anime Reveals Supporting Cast, New Promo

The official website of the television anime adapting HiRock and Shinya Komi's Ex-Arm manga revealed two additional cast and a new promo on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to broadcast on January 11 and will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll, excluding Asia.

Cast
Through Hand: Takaya Kuroda (Maou-jou de Oyasumi)
Elmira: Azumi Waki (Shachou, Battle no Jikan Desu!)

The additional cast members are joining the previously announced main cast, which consists of Souma Saitou (Zankyou no Terror) as Akira Natsume, Mikako Komatsu (Houseki no kuni (TV)) as Minami Uezono, and Akari Kitou (Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Alma.

Komi and HiRock serialized the action sci-fi manga in Grand Jump from February 2015 to November 2017 before switching it to Shounen Jump+, where it concluded in June 2019. The duo launched a sequel manga titled Ex-Arm-Ex in Grand Jump in August that year.

God, this puts Berserk to shame, gonna watch it still because the manga's enjoyable.

I looked at the poster and thought it looks interesting and added it to my plan to watch, but after looking at the trailer, it looks vile smh.

Did the director of Aku no Hana decide to team up with the director of God of High School? Even the people dancing by quantum leaps in Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu looked better that this...

Adding a bunch of filters on top of the old battle animation isn't going to hide its flaws... This would look okay for a small hobbyist project but as an official anime with a budget(?), this is just unfortunate. At least this will provide many a memeable clip.

I feel sorry for the mangaka of the original work.

Unlike the 1st PV Crunchyroll released, the 2nd PV showed signs of improvement

Hopefully this should do well in airing, otherwise Kimura deserves to be blacklisted from doing animation because of his role as director not having done so well in that project.

I really do not have a good feeling about this one. But you never know. It might just be anime of the year and blow everyone away. Who knows.

Yea, Forgot MAPPA does CG aswell. This is their first project as a studio, so ig they're still trying to kickstar, i guess?

I like that one shot at 0:45 where some CG lady talks in front of an audience that is clearly a static 2D drawing of an audience
