'Bungou Stray Dogs Wan!' Spin-off Manga Gets TV Anime

The official Twitter account of the Bungou Stray Dogs anime series announced a television anime adaptation of Neco Kanai's Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! spin-off manga on Friday.

Synopsis
The peaceful days of the very popular work Bungo Stray Dogs are here. The characters of the Armed Detective Agency and the Mafia are in miniature form?! Due to Atsushi and co. becoming cute, this is a different experience to the original work—a pleasant gag manga! (Source: Bungo Stray Dogs Wiki)

Kanai began drawing the spin-off manga in Young Ace UP web magazine in December 2015. Kadokawa published the sixth volume on December 28 last year.

Bungou Stray Dogs adapts Kafka Asagiri and Harukawa35's supernatural action manga, which began its serializating in Young Ace in December 2012. The 18th volume went on sale last December.

Produced by Bones, the first television anime aired in split cours in Spring and Fall 2016. The 13th manga volume bundled an original video anime episode in August 2017. The Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple anime film opened in Japan in March 2018. The third season premiered in Spring 2019.

Yen Press licensed the original manga in English in 2016 and will ship the 15th volume on June 23. Crunchyroll and Funimation licensed the anime series in North America and distributed the first two seasons on home video in March and September 2018. The company also released the film and third season on June 9.

I'm actually really excited. I read a bit and its hilarious! You get to see stuff that would never happen in the actual anime! It's like a bunch of fanservice. It's mostly because they dont want people to forget Bungou stray dogs while the current arc is still not done.

We will for sure, since BSD is quite popular in Japan, but it´s better to wait for the current arc to finish, trust me. That´s why 3rd season took 3 years to come.

I hope your parents either change their minds or you get to watch it with friend, tho.

I am really happy about it! Wan is so damn cute and funny, it will be perfect as stress relief~ To be honest, I was waiting for either this or Storm Bringer news.In my opinion, the episodes might be 5 minutes long, covering one or two chapters of the manga, since them´re short stories.

The 4th season annoucement was a possibility, though the chances were low, since the most recent arc hasn´t finished yet nor look like it will end soon, since the manga chapters are released per month.
