Yeah, it's no less than the absolute tearjerker/emotional rollercoaster people claim it to be, didn't disappoint me one bit in that aspect. Though I've gotta be honest, the OG Clannad was nowhere nearly on par with AS, if not for the beautiful tonal handling or rather, appropriate usage of music in the right moments this franchise does very well, I don't think I'd have found the OG Clannad passable, because I felt that the drama was quite overdone in some parts there. But AS just blows that out of the water with vastly superior writing, improving the drama & character dynamics by miles; add with that some amazingly well-executed emotional moments with beautiful OST/tonal handling this series already has.....it creates an unforgettable experience that toys with your emotions every now & then.

Clannad: After Story was so amazing man!! I never expected it to hit me that hard. T_T

Yeah, that's a shame actually, because a lot of characters are consequently very underrated simply because they're not good waifu/husbando material, and if you're someone like me who barely cares about that, it is pretty hard to know if people actually understand that you don't want to marry a loli, a wolf or a psychopath.
Thinking about it, this issue doesn't seem to be a thing outside of anime community... At least not to such a degree

Actually that was more directed to the person below you who called me a furry, I guess it most likely was for the joke but I've been called like that so many times (sometimes quite seriously), I thought it'd be better to just say it once and for all ^^'

I personally just use girl, it's not really the same as guy but it works if you don't want to spread confusion

Hey, sorry for coming in a bit randomly but your take on the Monogatari series seems to be going in a unique/interesting manner (not to say that it's bad in any way of course) since you actually liked Bake but seem to be really disliking Kizu. :P May I ask you what made you dislike Kizu 1 that much when you actually liked Bake since it seemed a bit surprising to me. You'll probably be able to answer my question after you finish the Kizu movie series but I'm kinda curious about this lol.

Yeah, I never ever thought that I'd like a rom-com this much, but this one is just amazing, it's hard not to love it. :) The comedy & character interactions are simply wonderful, easily some of the best I've ever seen in those aspects. The premise is very uniquely appealing, which adds a subtly different touch to it, but it's primarily the characters which are the driving force & heart of the show as a whole, they all have such fun & compelling personalities that it's just hard not to get invested into them. On top of all that, each & every character are so wonderfully realized in the show with the different sides personalities so very well explored. The 2nd season is especially a masterpiece.

I can only imagine how great the next arcs are if they are even better than the ones the second season covered, which it seemed from what you said.
