Square Enix launched an official website for a television anime adaptation of Loose Boy and Iori Furuya's Munou na Nana (Talentless Nana) manga on Tuesday.

Synopsis
It is the year 20XX. Earth was assaulted by monsters that would come to be known as "the Enemy of Humanity." In order to deal with this threat, special schools composed of teenagers with extraordinary abilities were formed. These people, who came to be known as "the Talented," had abilities that could defy the rules of reality.

Among these people with supernatural powers was an outlier, an individual who was sent to one of these schools despite having no innate special abilities whatsoever. This is the story of our protagonist, who attempts to defeat the Enemies of Humanity through the use of intelligence and manipulation alone. (Source: MU)

Game scenario writer Loose Boy—known for titles such as G-senjou no Maou and Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo—launched the psychological thriller manga in Monthly Shounen Gangan in May 2016, featuring illustration by Furuya. Square Enix published the fifth volume last July, with the sixth volume scheduled for release on Saturday.

Crunchyroll licensed the manga in English in September 2018 and publishes the chapters simultaneously with the Japanese release.

So, I’m assuming the male character will be the mc, as the female character being the mc would be too obvious for this type of story imo.

GOSH!!!

this is real?
Nana will make so many men violently angry, so I hope it's not popular 🤞

Not sure with these day's psychological-thriller genre.

@RayReynolds
Tate no Yuusha did feel a waste of my time during the later episodes. Cavalry simply sucked, there's no other way around it. But this one, I don't know. Perhaps give an ear if the reception hypes it? You do you, though.

@Lolsebca they told me the same things about Cavalry or tate yuusha that's it would be a "different" story but the really it was just the same trash, but pretentious. I will not waste my time again.

Checked the manga. And ow, yes, that will be my junk and guilty pleasure!
@mewra I'm too a fan of this design. Pink hair! That's so precious!
@RayReynolds I know that's the reaction most will have, and I do hope for anitubers and forum reactions and word of mouth to correct that vision. It's! Really! Worth! Checking! At least check the manga, two chapters for like, twenty minutes, and you'll get it. I'm pretty sure episode 2 will see a massive spark in the rating.

Not my cup of tea but I like the girl's design, this pink and white hair looks cute as fuck.

I thinked be that these stories were extinguished yet.

Before Isekai and anime with MMO setting, stories about teenagers with superwpowers facing to random menace were popular like hundred, Qualidea Code we really haven't made any progress huh Japan? and worse, the protagonist is the typical loser that everyone thinks he has talentless, but in reality he is the most special and powerful of all and the one who ends up defeating most enemies

quick question, which one of those two is the protagnost. maybe I missed something in the description, but it wasn't specfied whether they were a he or a she. the cover gives me the indication that the girl could be the protag, since she's in front, but the guy looks like a relatively generic dude, so he could be the protag. I would like the synopsis to not be so vague about who the main protagonist is

Maybe it's vague like that on purpose.

Willing to give this one a try because it's written by Loose Boy. I trust the man that made G-senjou no Maou.

This gonna be awesome. I read the manga, and the story and everything is good. The only problem is the MC totally wicked

That synopsis sounds as discouraging as it gets. But from what I heard about manga, it's quickly twisted into something else, so I'm willing to give it a try, even if simply to see why is it so badly rated.

it looks like a 2003 anime

If you are talking about the art in the topic, it is not for actual anime, just an art drawn for the announcment by the author himself.

You know when this anime was announced and many people reacted to it in a way that made it seem concerning, I kinda decided to go and check the manga out.

1 chapter in and it is definitely a surreal thing I've read, tho while I can't make a conclusion out of the product yet, this does look like it'll be a show that will set people off given the nature of it from what I'm getting.

"Kids fighting otherworldly entities hostile to humanity" type of anime is getting quite popular lately.

Im not sure if Shounen gangan was ever that relevant in first place.it has FMA and soul hunter, then maybe 2 or 3 well known titles and no one cares that much about the rest.
