'Ochikobore Fruit Tart' Announces Additional Staff, Summer 2020 Premiere

Additional staff members for feel.'s anime adaptation of Ochikobore Fruit Tart were announced through its official website on Friday. The website also released the first promotional video and revealed that the television series is scheduled to air in Summer 2020.

The initial anime announcement in March of last year revealed that the anime will be directed by Keiichirou Kawaguchi (Mayo Chiki!) and feature character designs by Sumie Kinoshita (Imouto sae Ireba Ii.). Tatsuya Takahashi (Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?) will be in charge of the series composition alongside the director.

Ochikobore Fruit Tart is a slice of life idol manga by Sou Hamayumiba that made its debut in the Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in July 2015. The series had previously been featured as a guest series in the magazine. Houbunsha published four compiled volumes in print, with the latest released on October 25 last year.

A show full of cute girls is always welcome. Would have been nice if Doga Kobo's the one in charge of this one though.

It seems that this will be the only non-sequel new anime that I'm looking forward to this year (edit: I forgot about Arte, lol whoops... looking forward to that one too)... good to see that there's finally some kind of release date. Really love these character designs.
The manga's book covers intrigue me though... hopefully releasing this anime might mean overseas licensing for the manga too!

It's difficult to screw up an idol anime especially one like this which isn't based off a game. The PV is telling us that this will be standard idol fare with the MTK flare which will turn out decent.

Oh crap, you're right. I read this as Studio feel. during the announcement (from MangaTimeKirara and the official account for the anime) over on twitter even, I wonder what got over me.

Well, if the PV is anything to go by, then I think we should be fine.
