At first I thought you mistyped Sato Gen's past role, but then I checked and realized he was really in Tensei Slime. Though I think his most famous and representative role (yet) was Chrome from Dr Stone.

Also, the series has reached 850,000 copies in circulation with more reprints are coming.

As for the anime team...
Well, it's below my expectation. I'm not really a fan of Yano Akane's past designs nor fan of the director's past works (Ryuou, Netoge no Yome, ChoYoyu). But I think they could prove me wrong with a good material to adapt for once.

For example, Yano's designs for Tomozaki and others have been released.

And they look okay-ish. I mean capturing Fly's beautiful design would be difficult, even for PA works, the series didn't move that much. They look pretty though.
But by far, I think this is Yano's best design yet. I just hope they have decent background art director, and photography team, project no 9's isn't that strong at that departments.

Project no. 9 huh, they seem to moe~fy a lot of the video games inside the anime so I wonder if they'll do the same with the FGC in this series.
