Manga 'Kiniro Mosaic' Gets New Anime Film

The May 2020 issue of Manga Time Kirara MAX revealed on Thursday that a new anime film for Yui Hara's Kiniro Mosaic manga is in production. The manga ended its ten year run in the same issue.

Script: Yuniko Ayana (Kiniro Mosaic, Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko)
Character Design: Kazuyuki Ueda (Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic, Sora to Umi no Aida)
Studio: Studio Gokumi, AXsiZ

The slice of life comedy manga originally appeared in the February and March 2010 issues of Manga Time Kirara MAX and joined the magazine's regular lineup in the June issue that year. Houbunsha published the tenth volume on July 25 last year. The 11th and final volume will go on sale on April 27.

Studio Gokumi adapted the manga into two television anime seasons in Summer 2013 and Spring 2015. A special episode titled Kiniro Mosaic: Pretty Days screened in Japan in November 2016, grossing over 95 million yen.

Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime series and released both seasons on Blu-ray and DVD in August 2014 and October 2016, respectively. Yen Press licensed the manga in English in 2016 and shipped the ninth volume on May 28.

Now, all we need is just a new K-On! anime (by Kyoto Animation and with the original staff/cast), and I'll officially consider 2020 to be the best year in the history of animes!

Oh good news! I watched the whole series in about a week, (including Pretty Days). Glad to hear I'll be seeing more of it.

It’s been a busy day for the anime industry and Manga Time Kirara, as well. VE Movie’s 2nd Key Visual, Furuba S2 Main PV, BNA PV 2, GochiUsa S3 airing date, this and the grand return of Bleach! It’s been some day, lol.

Congratulations to the fans of this series by the way! I’ll most certainly catch up once the Premiere Date of this is decided!
