Additional Cast and Staff for 'Maou-sama, Retry!' Announced
The official website of Maou-sama, Retry!, the television anime adaptation of Kurone Kanzaki's adventure fantasy novel of the same title, revealed additional cast and staff, theme song performers, and a second key visual (pictured) on Monday. The anime series will premiere in July 2019 on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji, among other stations.
Cast
Killer Queen: Haruka Tomatsu (Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri)
Angel White: Aki Toyosaki (Re:Creators)
Yuu Kirino: Rina Satou (Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san)
Staff
Sound Director: Nobuyuki Abe (Dorei-ku The Animation)
Sound Production: On-Lead
Music: Satoshi Houno (Urara Meirochou)
Kaori Ishihara, who plays the character Luna Elegant, will perform the opening theme "Tempest." The ending theme "New" will be performed by novice J-pop singer Haruka Toujou (Netsuzou TRap, Kiitarou Shounen no Youkai Enikki).
Hiroshi Kimura (Hamatora The Animation) is directing the anime at EKACHI EPILKA and also replacing Ouka Tanizaki as the series composer. Tomoyo Nakayama (Hisone to Maso-tan animation director) is designing the characters based on Makoto Iino's (Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records! chief animation director) original draft.
The adventure fantasy novel originally ran on the Shousetsuka ni Narou and Hameln websites between October and December 2016. Kanzaki published a side story independent to the main story in September 2018.
Futabasha began publishing the novel with illustrations by Kouji Ogata (Boogiepop wa Warawanai) under its Monster Bunko imprint in June 2017, and the third volume went on sale in April 2018. The company began a reprint of the novel in larger size through their M Novels label with new artworks by animator Makoto Iino last October. The new edition's second volume shipped on February 15, with the third volume scheduled for a May 29 release.
Amaru Minotake launched a manga adaptation on Futabasha's Web Comic Action portal in October 2017. The third compiled volume was released on January 30. The manga adaptation is also planned for a full-color digital and physical releases.

Another isekai…? Gender-bent main character that becomes insanely overpowered just because? Guess there's nothing to see here.

looks cool, I like the poster. Characters look smooth and more easy to animate without being too simplistic. I like the coloring and I find myself intrigued when including the shady figures in the background.

Another couple of summer animes and I’ll get a stronger feeling that this summer season will be pretty overloaded.
