The "Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!" (This Light Novel is Amazing!) guidebook has revealed its annual light novel rankings for 2019. The list includes the most popular light novels, characters, and illustrators as polled by readers.

Yet an armada of minor characters for every new show get added right away.
But a character like Maine who has been around for years, is the main character of 2 LN entries and 3 manga entries (some of them not even on MAL yet either) and ranking high on Konorano ranking both with her LN title and as herself is ignored.

I'm just a sad panda at that point ;(.

I like Maine too but MAL prioritize new stuff now. What to do? Go apply be a DB mod, then you can insta-approve stuff(help me too).

Actually,both rankings are light novels, hence why the title of this magazine is "kono light novel[...]".

The translation here is heavily misleading. light novel list here is the list for bunkobon, a format of small size, and the "book" is for tankoubon/shinsho, a bigger format (as in, the size of a volume not in pages but in size of those pages).
Both of those list are light novel lists and book lists so naming one "light novels" and the other "book" is just super weird but MAL does that all the time in LN lists (MAL reports for weekly orichon chart for LN sales are also like that for example)"

Index have been topped the poll since 2008.
Misaka have been on first spot for 10 times.

Haimura (Index illustrator) also have been on rank 2 last 3 year until this recent one .

For Light Novel index have been on top 10 for a while except for 2018 light Sugoi.

So incase you're only anime watchers cucks who can't differentiate between bad adaptation and the source (Light Novel)

He doesnt need salt... he need some pepper.
P.S if in 2015 yukino doesnt interrupt misaka on the top, misaka would become top female character on 9 consecutive years. (misaka took 2nd place on 2015)

I'm glad Honzuki no Gekokujou got #1 on books though.
Totally deserves first place with it's high quality.

Unfortunately, the only peoples who ever really voted for Alderamin are peoples from the industry so well as soon as they switched their support the ranking of Alderamin sunk in there despite having more than decent sales from start to finish.
Didn't read the other three you mentioned, so I'm just going to wholeheartedly agree on the Honzuki part~
