Sixth and Final Chapter of 'Digimon Adventure tri.' Premieres in May 2018

The official Twitter has officially announced that the title for the sixth and final Digimon Adventure tri. movie will be Bokura no Mirai (Our Future) and that it will premiere on May 5, 2018. The post revealed a new key visual of the new movie.

The six-part Digimon Adventure tri. movie was announced in 2014 at the franchise's 15th anniversary celebration. Five of the titles have already premiered, Saikai in November 2015, Ketsui in March 2016, Kokuhaku in September 2016, Soushitsu in February 24, 2017, and the most recent one, Kyousei, which premiered on September 30, 2017.

Nice to see them paying homages to the great singer. Both Wada Kouji and Digimon had come together a long way, Wada is always remembered for his works in Digimon, and Digimon is always remembered for his songs. Butterfly in particular, had become probably, Digimon's signature song. How fitting to see them ending the Tri series with another rendition of it, we should be expecting a slow, heartwarming version of it.

Still nothing about the 02 kids except that few seconds at the beginning of the first movie, which is why I mentioned they have a lot of things to cover and a lot of questions to answer. I am not too sure about SoraxTaichi... I felt Yamato genuinely liked Sora, while Sora is still on the fence not sure who to choose. Taichi to me is just kind to everyone and maybe that's how Sora got hooked. I mean, even Meiko looks to have a crush on Taichi too given how he always encouraged her when she's at her lowest. I'd go for YamatoxSora and TaichixMeiko.

Meanwhile, Hikari and Takeru don't seem to view each other as potential lovers, but only as close friends. They don't really have that flirtatious relationship between their conversation and actions. It's quite a shame, since this pairing is the easiest to make and also the one that makes more sense.

Funny how you mixed the English names and the Japanese names together. @_@

Yeah. I've seen both. I don't know, I never got that from Yamato. He seems like one of those loner types that all the girls gawk over and just gets conveniently paired together with someone usually a girl with a shallow crush on him (ex: Sasuke and Sakura - The worst couple ever). Considering how Sora and Taichi are written and the chemistry they have, their relationship evolving from friendship to romance would make for a much better story.

TK and Kairi need to be a couple! XD

Wanted to get on this new series, but ever since hearing it was movie planned, I have been waiting, and seems like I havent lost much, marathoning at my pace will surely be better than waiting for each movie, all the more if the quality isnt that great itself.

Well. I've waited this long and was a fool to watch these the moment they each came out. The story is subpar at this point, I agree, lots of holes, not even appealing to nostalgia like it was in the beginning to be more forgiving. :/

I wish I cared at this point. I haven't really had the motivation to finish part 5 after for abysmal part 4 was.

Sigh. It's like Toei is trying to say "stop complaining about how we end series or we'll go back and make it WORSE"

Been real disapointed with Tri. Started out alright but the lack of direction at times and some really pointless episodes thrown in didn't help.
I don't know what happened behind the scenes but the animation quality was poor at times. Worse than Xros wars, which I liked for season 1 and 2, a TV airing anime rather than movie like tri was. Hopefully if they ever do anymore Adventures based Digimon content it might be better. Might pick up the bd though just to see if maybe those had some art/animation corrections and because I like digimon.
