Sad this got upped. This series is effectively dead in the west. The rights to the light novel belong to a company that went under and it's not like another season is going to happen.

Oh god what disgusting dubbing to a perfectly fine vocal performance by the Japanese cast. The girl sounded horrible. I hate western women voices for anime. It sounds unnatural and not cute at all. When they try to sound cute its forced.

At least the box set is beautiful enough to purchase. I will just have to destroy the dub option on my BDs. All these goodies

Dub is perfect.. but I don't watch subbed so I maybe bias, lol. Luca Christian is a perfect pick for Stella. Can't get any better than this.

It's rather decent. However, i have no interest watching it dubbed.

Normally I always prefer dubs. I can honestly say this is the first anime I have preferred the sub for, for me its the MC actor, whoever is doing his voice is so bad it is distracting.

The BD/DVD will have both English sub and dub. So if people don't like the dub they can just choose to watch it in English sub when they buy it. It would be great if selling this really helps getting second season.

I think Luci Christian can make a decent Stella, but Clint Bickham's Ikki is almost unbearable in that video clip. And I made that assessment in a relative vacuum; I haven't watched Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry in a year and a half. Of course, maybe it's just the poor directing. After all, I know Luci Christian can act way better than she's doing here, so I have to assume Clint is being allowed to phone it in too. Shame on you, Christopher Ayres. You've directed too many things for you to be this bad unintentionally. Or can you really have so little time/money that this is the best you can do?

Leave it to fans like me to complain about the people trying to officially bring anime to the US, and based on just a tiny sample scene, no less! I just hope the dub is better than that little teaser video suggests.

EDIT: I just saw the first several episodes, and the dub is actually way better than the trailer suggests. Christian makes for an endearing Stella, and Bickham offers us a surprisingly adorkable Ikki. That's not to say it's perfect; as the dub went on, I started noticing that Ayres seems to consistently err on the side of underacting with Bickham's Ikki (and, somewhat less importantly, McCurdy's Ayase). I mean, I get it, because Ikki is a pretty calm and controlled character, but there are lots of lines Bickham delivers with an unnatural deliberateness, and his tonal inflection doesn't typically jump high enough for him to get away with dropping his intonation at the end of almost every goddamn sentence. His words just kind of shrink away. Still though, I owe the crew an apology.

Although I am now rather irritated by how one particular line was handled in episode nine. What should have been a small character moment for Stella, expressing some guilt and/or uncertainty regarding something she's learning about herself, ended up very...different. I can't help but imagine Christian read the line that way once for a cheap laugh - which it got - but then Ayres kept the take anyways. C'mon man. Grumble grumble.
...Because if you can't rant and complain about relatively minor problems on the internet, then where can you?

Maybe Sentai getting this out the door will help pave the way for season 2.

Doesn't happen often but sometimes they wait for the dubbed version of a show to be out before deciding on future plans.

How disappointing, I thought it was a second season...

No one cares for bad english dubs except in North America.

I watch English Dub myself but I have to agree with the haters over here. Sentai's dubs are just awful and this trailer further proves to me that they can't hire an English cast that has a voice which fits the characters. I haven't even watched the Japanese version yet and I can already tell the voice for that big-boobed girl doesn't fit. The voice acting is also........yea, we'll just leave it at that.

If this was Funimation, Aniplex or Viz Media, they would have done a much better job.

Yah sentai's dubs aren't very good. Luci Christian is an awesome voice actress. She did great in the recent sentai dub of Danmachi as Hestia but her voice isn't suited for Stella. I prefer English dubs so I didn't watch this when I heard its getting a dub. But I will now. I hope its not too bad.

@ixaa I'm just used to the fact that Rokudai has a reputation for work being focused on one heroine.

ikr?some people have functional ears and can understand the difference between Voice Actors that probably dreamt doing that as a living since birth and people who do voice acting for chineese cartoons because they failed at other stuff...Yes,i know im assuming all these without knowing anything about em but such is life...Deal with it...
