Manga 'Bungou Stray Dogs' to Include Original Anime

Amazon Japan listed that Bungou Stray Dogs will get an original anime episode bundled with the 13th volume of the manga, which will be released on August 4, 2017.

Bungou Stray Dogs is drawn by Kafka Asagiri and Harukawa35. There are currently ten manga volumes released, where its recent volume went on sale on June 4. A novel adaptation began publishing by Kadokawa in April 2014, with three volumes and one bangai-hen volume released. A TV anime adaptation by studio Bones began its 13-episode broadcast in April 2016, in addition to a second season that will start its broadcast on October 6, which will be simulcast by Crunchyroll.

It will be original anime based on manga ch. 40, and will release on August 4 instead of August 31.

I was hoping for chapter 39 to be animated in the ova as it works well as a standalone, but this is fine . Btw Harukawa's art is fantastic ...

Ok... there's nowhere else including the official site I wasn't able to find information to regarding to OVA before this news, besides that source.

Anyways, it's MAL's first time to post news about the OVA.

Unless this one is completely different, but I doubt it? Of course the news of this post wasn't specific as to how it'd be obtainable.

The OVA entry in MAL (and it existed long before 1st season started airing, too (meaning I'm aware of the db in quene)) is not approved yet for there was no official announcement, so it's not "confirmed" long ago.

I swear this was confirmed long time ago, since the OVA has it's own entry in MAL since the first season ended. Not that that is bad, more Bungou Stray Dogs are good news :)
