if they brought the Higurashi live action over to America, it would sell out faster than the SAW and Hostile series. x_X

I couldn't make it to One Piece this weekend...but I still hope to go see Vexille this weekend because it looks good.

It helps to have a little more warning this time. I do love to plan. >.>

thanks cyruz for the update, i really wanted to see vexille ever since the first trailer came out in Japan, didn't know they already had it out on DVD, man they're fast, but ya closest theater that has a showing is 222 miles. I might rent it if it comes out to blockbuster just to see how the eng voice actors do, sound better then most...

Oh, man. Closest theater they're showing in is about 105 miles away from me.
This sucks. I really wanna see the One Piece movie on the big screen. =/

I downloaded the Vexille sub last week, you won't be disappointed I think. At least not if you've seen the trailer and know what it's about, since some people think it was nothing new or whatever.

Ah ha ha, I stand corrected. As did the Digimon movie. Not a knock against any of them, but I guess I didn't even consider them anime yesterday. ^_^;;

Heh, I was thinking of Princess Mononoke and stuff like that. Even the Naruto movie would have been a 50 mile drive.

I still find it odd that my smaller city gets these while major cities are missing out. That was my original thought, really.

What?! I am less than 15 miles from Washington DC where within the next month a Three week Japanese Cultural Festival is being held, Katsucon is being held, and the Cherry Blossom Festival occurs and the CLOSEST theater showing any of the movies is nearly 80 miles away! Oh, well, I will be busy enough with the previously mentioned events I guess. I just really wanted to see "Vexille".

Wait--in my city? Since when? What is this?

As you can, this almost never happens. No, scratch that. I don't think there's ever been anime shown here theatrically. I'll probably go see all three just to support this endeavour.

Because I'd like more. :)

I'm pretty sure the first few pokemon movies aired in a lot of theaters. :P

Whoa, I never heard of Vexille until now and watching the trailer gotten me interested... especially when Paul Oakenfold is handling the music? Wow, he's such a great DJ. ^_^ Unless there's another Oakenfold...

Glad to hear that Japan is testing the waters on Anime movies in theaters again. When they released Princess Mononoke in the theaters, they were still jam packed a week after the first showing. In the US I doubt they will make as much money as they do in Japan by doing this, yet considering how much money is made by movies in the US normally, it's only a matter of time hopefully.

Unfortunately, I'm not finding any info on Vexille locations. It looks really promising too. I hope that I can find where it's playing before it's out of theaters.

Waaahh .. what a pitty that it's only in the US :(
