Shigusawa Keiichi's "Alison and Lillia" has been announced to air weekly on NHK BS2, 4/3 (Thurs) starting 11:32 PM. The series will run for 26 episodes.

The series will be a compilation of the two manga "Alison" and "Lillia and Treize," both original works by Shigusawa Keiichi (Kino no Tabi). The series will take place in a country split into two factions in a 1940's-like world, that have been repeatedly warring with each other for over 100 years. The first half will involved Alison and her male friend Treize who will set out from an orphanage in order to search for a "treasure" to end the war.

The second half will take place after Alison and Will find the "treasure," and the war ends, in an era where a united state is possible. Lilia, a mother of two daughters, as well as Treize's girlfriend, will play an active roll in the second half.

An original creation by Shigusawa Keiichi, to be directed by Nishida Masayoshi (Eyeshield 21, Mokke). The cast is currently undecided.

Yup, I understand. As for Will, it's probably right. Will comes from Wilhelm (if I remember correctly) which, in German, is pronounced Vil-helm.

I don't want to be disappointed by this one. I was so excited for Rental Magica and it wasn't what I expected at all :(

Yup, I added it a while back, I was really excited about it. And my name makes it into an anime! Wooo!

I'd like to know the official spelling though... from what I could find about the novels it's "Allison" and "Lillia", but I am well accustomed to the curses of double L's...

I grabbed the manga titles, and anime title from ANN, considering romanizing stuff like that is annoying, and there's always a possibility it's going to be spelled oddly.

OMG i've been looking forward to this series since last year
if this is by the creator of kino, it's defiantly going to be good
