Cast of TV Anime 'Amanchu!' Announced

Voice cast members for the upcoming TV anime Amanchu! were announced on Tuesday in a Niconico Live broadcast which featured chief director Junichi Satou as guest. The adaptation of the manga by Kozue Amano will begin airing in July 2016.

Hikari Kohinata: Eri Suzuki (Heavy Object)
Futaba Ooki: Ai Kayano (No Game No Life)
Ai Ninomiya: Saori Oonishi (Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata)
Makoto Ninomiya: Yuuichirou Umehara (Young Black Jack)
Mato Katori: Shizuka Itou (Amagami SS)
Aria: Yurika Kubo (Ooyasan wa Shishunki!)
Kino Kohinata: Kikuko Inoue (Aa! Megami-sama!)

It is great that she is using her deep voice with a little cuteness add on it. It isn't anything ground breaking but it perfectly fits the role of Dotty. Damn it, Kayano Ai, please stop being amazing already.

Also, Eri Suzuki, A.K.A Princess, I am a little surprised that she can make her voice even younger than her Princess's voice. Or maybe Japanese seiyuu is just as scary as you can imagine.

Not bad for the cast choices and now that I think more and more about it, this is the perfect series to watch during Summer, like Non Non Biyori Repeat last year.

Agreed, Pikari reminds me of Akari a ton. Both air headed and would definitely work with the same voice actor.

Her current voice actor hasn't done much work so it's hard to tell if it suits her or not. Rest of the cast I'm pretty happy with.

Pikari and Akari might look the same at fist glance but both character are never the same because Pikari is not an airhead girl. Both character have a difference strong point in their strength.

Thanks God..(Kotori's & Hanayo's voices were awful since LL anime, honestly).

We can only hope that Ai Kayano can nail down her role as Dotty. I was surprised myself at how Ai Kayano landed her role. I hope director saw what I haven't seen yet.

No, not squeaky like Kotori, just regular high and "cutesy". The only two of Kayano Ai's roles I seemed to recall at the moment were from Tamayura and Yuyushiki, both are somewhat shy characters. I'm sure she can do different voices, I just hope she won't be assuming that Dotty's shyness must mean she needs a high and cutesy voice. I always imagined Dotty's voice to be more "normal".

well... I would love to have some cast from Aria back but having new is not bad either - Crystal has a lot of them and it gets weird sometimes.

*Shocked* Probably they want to give this series a fresh feels.
Now I even doubt that the "ancestor duo" will be voiced by "them", heck that chapter probably won't animated at all since it's kinda like one of the Tamyura's epsiode.
